Shah Defeats Green in All-Denison Final to Claim ITA Regional Title

GRANVILLE, OH – Denison seniors Kael Shah (Nairobi, Kenya/ES American School Barcelona (Spain)) and Ethan Green (Salt Lake City, UT/Skyline) met in the singles final of the 2025 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Central Regional Men’s Championships.

Originally scheduled to be played at Kalamazoo College, the final was moved to Granville so the two teammates could face off in front of a home crowd. In the championship match between the tournament’s top two seeds, No. 1 seed Shah defeated No. 2 seed Green, 6-4, 6-2, to claim the singles title and secure a spot in the ITA Cup, scheduled for October 16-19, 2025.

The final was tightly contested early, with both players trading games in the opening set before Shah pulled ahead to take it, 6-4. He carried that momentum into the second, closing out the match 6-2 to earn the regional championship. With the win, Shah earned his fifth All-America honor and will join Green in representing Denison at the ITA Cup.
