NEW ORLEANS, LA – The Men’s and Women’s All-Academic Teams and All-Academic Athletes for the 2024 NCAA Division III Cross Country season were announced on January 30 by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Sixteen North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) teams received the Academic Team award. On the men’s side, eight teams received the award including Denison (3.527), DePauw (3.45), Hiram (3.32), Kenyon (3.62), Oberlin (3.41), Ohio Wesleyan (3.46), Wabash (3.45), and Wooster (3.48). Eight teams on the women’s side also earned USTFCCCA honors including Denison (3.46), DePauw (3.65), Hiram (3.16), Kenyon (3.64), Oberlin (3.65), Ohio Wesleyan (3.62), Wittenberg (3.64), and Wooster (3.75).
In order to qualify for All-Academic Team distinction, cross country squads must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
Individually, the NCAC saw 23 student-athletes receive All-Academic Athlete distinction. Sixteen conference women made the list, while seven NCAC men were recognized.
In order to qualify for All-Academic Athlete distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
