Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week – Trevor Reed, Denison
Denison sophomore forward
Trevor Reed (St. Louis, MO/John Burroughs) helped lead the Big Red to a 2-0 week with victories over Wabash (53-51) and Wittenberg (65-56). In the win over the Little Giants, Reed scored 20 points, which included going 4-for-8 from three-point range and 2-for-2 from the free-throw line. The sophomore also grabbed eight rebounds and recorded one block in 30 minutes of action. Against the Tigers, Reed scored 15 points in 22 minutes, while going a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line and adding three rebounds. On the week, the St. Louis, Missouri native averaged 17.5 points and 5.5 rebounds, helping No. 20 Denison improve to 11-1 in NCAC play and 19-2 overall.
Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week – Kasey Schipfer, Ohio Wesleyan
Ohio Wesleyan senior guard
Kasey Schipfer (Mechanicsburg, OH/Mechanicsburg) helped lead the Battling Bishops to a 2-0 week with wins over Hiram (91-55) and Wittenberg (69-56). In the win over the Terriers, Schipfer matched her career high with 34 points, shooting 14-for-22 from the field and 6-for-8 from the charity stripe, while also adding four rebounds and three assists. Against the Tigers, the guard scored a game-high 27 points, shooting 11-for-17 from the floor, 2-for-2 from beyond the arc and 3-for-5 from the free throw line, and tallied seven rebounds. Schipfer's 27-point effort raised her career total to 2,012, making her the second Ohio Wesleyan player and third in NCAC history to surpass the 2,000-point mark. She also set a new school record for free-throw attempts (597), breaking
Jill Myers' previous record of 592. On the week, Schipfer averaged 30.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game, helping No. 14/15 Ohio Wesleyan improve to 10-0 against league competition and 19-2 overall.
Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week – Quinn Fitzgerald, Wabash
Wabash senior attackman
Quinn Fitzgerald (Indianapolis, IN/Brebeuf Jesuit) led the Little Giants to a 17-12 season-opening win at Hanover on Saturday, tallying four goals, three assists, and seven points. Fitzgerald's first goal came on a power play to give Wabash a 5-3 lead, and he quickly added a second goal a minute later to extend the advantage to 6-3. The attackman then assisted on a score late in the second period to break a 6-6 tie. In the second half, he assisted on two other goals to extend Wabash's lead to 9-6 and 11-8, respectively. The Indianapolis, Indiana native capped his performance with a fourth goal halfway through the final quarter (16-9). The senior converted on 4-of-6 shots on goal, scooped up five ground balls, and caused one turnover in the win.
Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week – Finley Buelte, DePauw
DePauw junior
Finley Buelte (Rockford, IN/Rockford Christian) competed in the No. 1 singles and doubles flights during a three-match week for the Tigers. Despite dropping three doubles matches, Buelte recorded impressive play in singles. In a matchup with Division I Butler's
Nicolas Arts, the junior was leading 7-5, 5-2 prior to the team match reaching a decision. The junior lost a hard-fought 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 match to
Emil Grantcharov of No. 1-ranked Chicago and then bounced back with a 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 victory over junior
Jacob Patterson (Bridgeville, PA/South Fayette) of No. 6 Denison.
Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week – Briah O'Neal, DePauw

Briah O'Neal (Indianapolis, IN/Lawrence North) played in the No. 5 and No. 6 singles flights and No. 3 doubles flight during a three-match week for the Tigers. In singles, O'Neal dominated
Isha Mannan from Rose-Hulman 6-3, 6-0, and then fought her way to a 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8) victory over first-year
Elizabeth Ackermann (Charlotte, NC/Providence Day School) of No. 21-ranked Kenyon. In her final singles match of the week, the rookie dropped a hard-fought match to
Riya Singh of No. 1 Chicago (5-7, 1-6). In doubles, O'Neal teamed up with classmate
Allie Stamm (Noblesville, IN/Noblesville) in the No. 3 flight to record a 6-4 win over Rose-Hulman and dropping a tough 6-0 loss to Kenyon and hard-fought 7-6 (2-7) loss to Chicago.
Men's Indoor Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Week – Grant Hunt, DePauw
DePauw junior
Grant Hunt (Princeville, IL/Princeville) broke the school record in the 60-meter dash at the Illinois Wesleyan Keck DIII Select meet, finishing in 6.93 seconds. The junior tied the program best during the prelims, matching the previous record of 6.96 which was set by senior
Colin O'Malley (Round Lake, IL/Grayslake Central) on January 31, before surpassing it in the finals. With that time, Hunt placed third and now owns the top time in the NCAC so far this season.
Men's Indoor Distance/Mid-Distance Athlete of the Week – Brayden Curnutt, Wabash
Wabash senior
Brayden Curnutt (Kokomo, IN/Western) broke the school record in the 3,000-meter run at the Fairgrounds Invitational, finishing in 8:22.22. The senior outraced a field of 21 runners from NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA programs, winning the event by more than a second. His time surpassed the previous Wabash record of 8:27.18, set by
Nick Boyce in 2015. Curnutt's converted time of 8:28.05 currently ranks first in the conference.
Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week – Sly Williams, Wabash
Wabash junior
Sly Williams (Indianapolis, IN/Bishop Chatard) earned a runner-up finish in the long jump at the Anderson Invitational with a leap of 6.73 meters. His mark stands as the second-longest in the NCAC this season and is the second-best indoor jump of his career.
Women's Indoor Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Week – Meghan Frazier, Wittenberg
Wittenberg senior
Meghan Frazier (Alliance, OH/Alliance) set a new school record in the 400-meter dash at the Gem City Invitational, finishing third with a time of 56.84. The senior surpassed her previous program best of 57.22, which she set on January 25. With that time, Frazier owns the No. 1 time in the NCAC this season and ranks 12th nationally in Division III.
Women's Indoor Distance/Mid-Distance Athlete of the Week – Brianna Montgomery, Ohio Wesleyan
Ohio Wesleyan sophomore
Brianna Montgomery (Gibsonburg, OH/Gibsonburg) competed at the Jud Logan Life Giver Open and placed 16th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:20.66. The sophomore was the highest Division III finisher in the event, with the 15 runners ahead of her from DI, DII, or NAIA programs. Montgomery's converted time of 2:22.28 ranks second in the NCAC this season.
Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week – Tessa Kochert, DePauw
DePauw junior
Tessa Kochert (Glen Ellyn, IL/Glenbard West) broke the program record in the triple jump at the Illinois Wesleyan Keck Select, finishing second with a leap of 11.18 meters. The junior had tied the previous record, set by
Shaneka Terrell in 2003, at the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes #3 meet last week. The Glen Ellyn, Illinois native also set a career best in the long jump, earning third place with a mark of 5.33 meters. Those performances currently rank Kochert second in the NCAC in both events.

Denison, Men's Track & Field – Junior
Elijah Van Farowe (Cleveland, OH/Lutheran West) recorded a personal-best time of 16:38.30 in the 5,000-meter race at the Denison Bob Shannon Invitational, placing third overall … Senior
Malik Holley (Washington, D.C./Woodberry Forest) won the 400-meter race with a time of 50.88 to rank third in the NCAC and ninth all-time at Denison. He also helped the 4x200-meter relay team take first place with a time of 1:32.21, which ranks seventh all-time at Denison.
Denison, Women's Track & Field – Junior
Sydney Flores (Durango, CO/Durango) finished third in the shot put (11.78 meters) at the Bob Shannon Invitational, marking her indoor personal record and placing her second in the NCAC. Her performance also ranks fourth all-time at Denison.
Oberlin, Men's Track & Field – Sophomore
Abraham Cromartie V (Nashville, TN/Father Ryan) set personal bests in both the shot put and weight throw at the Dan Kinsey Invitational, placing second in the shot put (13.61 meters) and 14th in the weight throw (11.14 meters) … Senior
Walter Moak (Charlottesville, VA/Western Albemarle) set a new school record in the 1,000-meter race, clocking a time of 2:28.71 to win by four seconds. Moak also won the 800-meter race with an indoor personal best of 1:57.90, which places him third in the NCAC standings.
Hiram, Men's Track & Field – First-year
Sebastian Regalado (Oviedo, FL/Hagerty) set a new program record in the 60-meter hurdles at the Dan Kinsey Invitational after finishing first with a time of 9.17 to improve his previous mark of 9.22 from February 1.
Oberlin, Women's Track & Field – Senior
Sage Serraino (Ashland, OH/Ashland) won the 1,000-meter race at the Dan Kinsey Invitational with a personal-best time of 3:06.14.
Ohio Wesleyan, Women's Track & Field – First-year
Katherine Dortmund (Westerville, OH/Columbus St. Francis DeSales) set a new school record in the 200-meter dash at the Jud Logan Life Giver Open with a time of 25.53. With that time, the rookie broke the previous record of 25.93, set by
Sara Johnson in 2015.
Wooster, Women's Track & Field – Senior
Daysia Hargrave (Orrville, OH/Orrville) posted a season-best time of 9.2 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles prelims at the Bob Shannon Invite before running a 9.09 to win the final. With her finals performance, Hargrave moved into the top-30 nationally.
