CLEVELAND, OH – The 2025 NCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held Friday-Saturday, Feb. 28-Mar. 1 at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. The Wittenberg women are seeking their third-consecutive NCAC title, while the Wabash Little Giants are aiming for their 10th overall championship and first since winning four straight (2019-20, '22-23). Both squads have been selected as the favorites heading into this year's meet based on pre-championship balloting by the league coaches.
In the men's poll, Wabash narrowly edged Wittenberg for the top spot, as the Little Giants earned 76 points and five of the nine possible first-place votes, while the Tigers collected three first-place votes and 75 points. Denison claimed third with 58 points, followed by DePauw in fourth with 51. Ohio Wesleyan took fifth with 47 points, picking up the final first-place vote, while Oberlin (44), Wooster (26), Kenyon (19), and Hiram (9) rounded out the nine-team field.
Under the guidance of 17-year head coach
Clyde Morgan, Wabash will be led by a mix of seasoned veterans and a talented group of underclassmen, all poised to challenge for the top spot in the team standings.
- First-year Carter Leininger (Brownsburg, IN/Brownsburg) holds Wabash's fastest times in both the 60-meter (7.05 seconds) and 200-meter (22.91) dashes.
- In the 800-meter run, Wabash owns the top-three spots in the NCAC, with senior Will Neubauer (South Bend, IN/John Adams) leading at 1:53.86, followed by junior Haiden Diemer-McKinney (Brownsburg, IN/Brownsburg) at 1:54.49, and sophomore David Adesanya (Avon, IN/Ben Davis) at 1:55.78.
- Senior Brayden Curnutt (Kokomo, IN/Western) leads three NCAC events heading into the 2025 championships, with the top marks in the mile (4:17.81), 3,000-meter run (8:28.05), and 5,000-meter run (14:20.99).
- First-year Morgyn Clark (Myrtle Beach, SC/St. James) is tied for the conference's third-best mark in the high jump (1.90 meters), and aims for All-NCAC honors at the championships.
- Junior Nate Joven (Indianapolis, IN/Bishop Chatard) and first-year Hugh Ford (Kalamazoo, MI/Mattawan) sit in a tie for the fourth-best NCAC mark in the pole vault at 4.25 meters.
- Junior Sly Williams (Indianapolis, IN/Bishop Chatard) aims for a podium finish in both the triple and long jump events. He ranks second in the conference in the triple jump (13.39) and fourth in the long jump (6.73).
- The Wabash throwers are poised to make an impact at the 2025 championships with five of the top eight marks in the weight throw. Junior Quinn Sholar (Indianapolis, IN/Warren Central) leads the Little Giants with a toss of 17.80 meters (second in the NCAC), followed by junior Will Boas (Greenwood, IN/Center Grove) at 15.32 meters (third), junior Lane Brockman (Berea, KY/Madison Southern) at 15.27 meters (fourth), junior Evan Furuness (Brownsburg, IN/Brownsburg) at 15.22 meters (fifth), and sophomore Jacob Guse (Columbus, IN/Columbus East) at 14.58 meters (eighth).
- In the shot put, Sholar leads the NCAC with a mark of 15.87 meters, while Furuness ranks third at 14.57 meters.
In the women's poll, Wittenberg claimed the top spot with 63 points, earning seven of the eight possible first-place votes. DePauw followed in second with 53 points and the remaining first-place vote, besting Ohio Wesleyan by one point, as the Battling Bishops finished third with 52 points. Denison took fourth with 37 points, while Kenyon (33), Oberlin (22), Wooster (20), and Hiram (8) rounded out the eight-team field.

Paris Hilliard. With standout performances from returning veterans along with first- and second-year athletes, the Tigers hold at least one top-five conference mark in 13 events.
- Senior Meghan Frazier (Alliance, OH/Alliance) leads the conference with the fastest times in the 60-meter (7.80 seconds) and 400-meter (57.60) dashes. She also ranks third in the NCAC in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.10, while first-year Izzy Henderson (East Liberty, OH/Benjamin Logan) follows closely in fourth at 26.51. Henderson also holds the Tigers' fastest 60-meter hurdles mark at 9.27, ranking sixth in the conference going into the championship meet.
- Senior Megan Keys (Dublin, OH/Dublin) leads Wittenberg in distance events, including the mile (5:23.01, eighth in the NCAC), the 3,000-meter (10:34.91, fourth), and the 5,000-meter (18:29.10, fifth) runs.
- The Wittenberg jumps squad is looking to make an impact in the high jump with five of the league's top-six marks this season. Senior Taylor Weiss (Powell, OH/Olentangy Liberty) leads the NCAC with a jump of 1.68 meters, while senior Julissa Williams (Lorain, OH/Lorain) is tied for second at 1.61 meters and Henderson and first-year Hallie Haines (Hillsboro, OH/Fairfield) are in a three-way tie for fourth at 1.55 meters. Williams also ranks third in the triple jump with a mark of 10.65 meters, while Weiss is fourth at 10.52 meters, and senior Reese Neumeyer (Whitehouse, OH/Anthony Wayne) is fifth at 10.48 meters.
- In the pole vault, junior Tiffany Hix (Prospect, OH/Elgin) and sophomore Story Laing (Granville, OH/Granville) are tied for third in the league with clearances of 3.35 meters, while first-year Lexie Greer (Venedocia, OH/Spencerville) enters the championships with the sixth-best height in the conference at 3.05 meters.
- In the pentathlon, the Tigers occupy the second through sixth spots in the conference rankings, with Henderson in second (2,892 points), junior Ziciah Gibson (Cambridge, OH/Cambridge) in third (2,823 points), senior Lainee Valentine (Marion, OH/River Valley) in fourth (2,593 points), sophomore Haley Troy (West Chester, OH/Lakota West) in fifth (2,519 points), and Eaton in sixth (2,474 points).
The first scoring events of the 2025 meet, the heptathlon, and the pentathlon, will take place this coming Saturday and Sunday, February 22-23 at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio.
