CLEVELAND, OH – USA Lacrosse Magazine has announced its Division III Women's Preseason All-Americans for 2025 and three North Coast Athletic Conference women's lacrosse student-athletes were selected. Denison senior defender
Mary Daniel (Wellesley, MA/Wellesley) earned second-team recognition, while Big Red junior midfielder
Bridget Sheehy (Pawleys Island, SC/Westminster) and Kenyon senior goalkeeper
Nola Garand (Southborough, MA/Algonquin) both received a nod to the honorable mention team.
Daniel, the 2024 NCAC Defensive Player of the Year and All-NCAC first-team selection, helped lead a Denison defense that ranked first in the conference in caused turnovers (13.30 per game) and goals-against average (9.70). The senior recorded 35 ground balls, 86 draw controls and 21 caused turnovers. Daniel also contributed offensively, finishing the 2024 season with one goal and two assists.
Sheehy, a 2024 All-NCAC first-team selection, started all 20 games a season ago, finishing with 28 goals and 28 assists for 56 points. The junior added 25 ground balls, 25 caused turnovers and 36 draw controls.
Garand, who appeared in 16 games for the Owls last season, posted 164 goals allowed and made 163 saves, finishing the year with a .498 save percentage. Her standout performance in goal helped anchor Kenyon's defense throughout the season and earned her first-team All-NCAC honors.
