Three Collect Men's Basketball Honors, Sullivan Tabbed NABC District 7 Coach of the Year

The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and D3hoops.com announced the 2024-25 All-District, All-Region and All-America teams along with special awards. The North Coast Athletic Conference was headlined by three student-athletes and one head coach being honored.

Ohio Wesleyan senior guard Henry Hinkle (Powell, OH/Olentangy Liberty) was named to the NABC All-America third team, the NABC District 7 first team and the D3hoops.com All-Region 7 first team, while Wooster senior guard Jamir Billings (Lorain, OH/Lorain) was named to the NABC District 7 second team and the D3hoops.com All-Region 7 third team and Denison senior forward Ricky Radtke (Willoughby, OH/University School) was named to the NABC District 7 second team. Additionally, Denison Head Coach Chris Sullivan was named the NABC District 7 Coach of the Year.  

Hinkle claimed OWU’s 13th NCAC Player of the Year award this season, the first since Jack Clement in 2022-23. Hinkle was also one of just two players to repeat as a four-time all-conference selection in 2025, which included back-to-back first-team honors after a third-team nod in 2022-23 and honorable mention recognition in 2021-22. The Powel, Ohio native led the NCAC in both scoring (19.6 ppg) and total points (529). He ranked second in the NCAC in three-pointers per game (2.5) and was third in free throw percentage (87.1), placing him 37th in NCAA Division III. Hinkle also ranked third in the conference in total free throws (108), assists (96), assist-to-turnover ratio (1.5), and three-pointers made (67). He was fifth in assists per game (3.6), sixth in three-point percentage (36.6), tied for seventh in steals (30), and 10th in both field goal percentage (48.9) and steals per game (1.1).

Billings averaged 13.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 3.1 steals per game. He scored a season-high 28 points during the program's record ninth-straight win over Wittenberg in January. Billings also had nine games with at least four steals, led by seven against Johnson & Wales in December. The seven steals marked the fifth time Billings had at least seven steals in his career. He passed out a season-high 10 assists in a February win over Ohio Wesleyan for his 10th game with at least 10 helpers. He ranks seventh nationally with 87 steals and eighth with 3.1 steals per game while also ranking 37th with 128 assists and 46th with 4.6 assists per game. Billings set the NCAC’s all-time record with 324 career steals and holds Wooster’s program record with 596 assists. He finished his career with 1,270 points, ranking 20th in program history

Radtke helped lead the Big Red to their first NCAC regular-season championship. Radtke finished the season with 138 rebounds and was third on the team in scoring with 292 points. He led the NCAC in field goal percentage (63.4) and ranked 10th in rebounds (138). The senior concluded his Denison career with 1,128 points and a program-best career shooting percentage of 61.8 (428-for-692).

Sullivan guided the Big Red to a program-record 24 wins and their first NCAC championship. In his fifth season, Sullivan led Denison to a 14-2 conference record and helped the team secure its second NCAC tournament title after defeating Wooster 79-68 in the tournament finale. Under Sullivan's leadership, the Big Red also broke its program record for consecutive wins with 12 and earned NCAC Coaching Staff of the Year honors. Sullivan now holds a 72-45 career record with a .615 winning percentage, placing him among the top nine winningest coaches in program history.
