Denison Captures NCAC Men’s Tennis Title, Earns Tournament Top Seed

CLEVELAND, OH -- Denison (7-0, NCAC) won its fifth-consecutive, and 17th overall, North Coast Athletic Conference men's tennis championship after finishing the season with a perfect mark against league foes. Only three teams have claimed a conference men’s tennis championship; in addition to the Big Red, Kenyon has accumulated a league-leading 22 NCAC championship titles, while Wooster has earned four conference championships. 

The Owls (6-1) finished second in the standings, followed by DePauw (5-2), Wabash (4-3), Oberlin (3-4), Ohio Wesleyan (2-5), Wooster (1-6) and Wittenberg (0-7) in places three through eight.

As league champions, Denison has earned the No. 1 seed, hosting rights and a bye in the quarterfinal round of the 2025 NCAC Men's Tennis Tournament. As the No. 2 seed, Kenyon has also earned a bye into the semifinal round. The three-day, six-match, single-elimination tournament will be held Friday-Sunday, May 2-4. The tournament begins with quarterfinal matches on Friday, semifinal matches on Saturday and the tournament championship match on Sunday.

The first quarterfinal match on Friday will feature No. 4 Wabash and No. 5 Oberlin at 11:00 a.m., while the second quarterfinal match is scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. start with No. 3 DePauw taking on No. 6 Ohio Wesleyan.

On Saturday, the first semifinal is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. with No. 1 Denison meeting the winner of Wabash/Oberlin, while the winner of DePauw/Ohio Wesleyan will square off with No. 2 Kenyon at 1:30 p.m. The championship match is set for 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The tournament winner receives the NCAC's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
