Denison Women, Kenyon & Wittenberg Men Lead NCAC Golf After Day 1

COLUMBUS, IN – The first round of the 2025 North Coast Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Golf Championships concluded Friday afternoon at Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Indiana. Denison sits atop the six-team women's leaderboard at 303 (+15), while Kenyon and Wittenberg are leading the eight-team men's field after the duo each shot a four-under 284.
 
The Big Red women carry a nine-stroke lead over DePauw (312) into Saturday's round. Wooster sits in third at 329, while Wittenberg (341), Ohio Wesleyan (393) and Hiram (472) round out the women's field.
           
In the men's standings, Wabash's even 288 is four strokes back of the leading duo, while Denison is five strokes behind the Little Giants with a 293 and four strokes ahead of fifth-place DePauw (297). Wooster sits in sixth after shooting a 300, while Ohio Wesleyan hold's seventh with a 303 and Hiram rounds out the men's standings in eighth with a 331.
           
Denison's Isabella Dolan (St. Petersburg, FL/Shorecrest Preparatory School) leads the women with a one-under-par 71. She holds a one-stroke lead over DePauw's Becky Williams (Zionsville, IN/University High School of Indiana), who carded an even-72 on Otter Creek's North and West courses, which are being played at 5,870 yards this weekend. Denison's Lizzy Grant (Hudson, OH/??Hudson) sits in third with a 73, just two-strokes out of first. DePauw teammates Emma Pasawat (Bangkok, Thailand/Brighton College Bangkok) and Ashley Long (Monticello, IL/Monticello) along with Denison's Siena Maschke (Cleveland, OH/Laurel School) sit in a three-way tie for fourth with 78's on the day. 
        
Denison's Jack Yurosek (Coto de Caza, CA/Santa Margarita Catholic) and Wabash's Sean Bledsoe (Columbia City, IN/Columbia City) lead the men's individual standings after they both shot a three-under 69 on the 6,897-yard, par-72 layout of Otter Creek's North and West courses. Kenyon teammates Jaiden Koonar (Alberta, Canada/Webber Academy) and Jonathan Oakes (Dobbs Ferry, NY/US Performance Academy) along with Wittenberg's Mikey Schutte (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) sit in a three-way tie for third after they all fired two-under 70's on day one.
           
The second round of the NCAC Golf Championships gets underway on Saturday, May 3, with the men teeing off on hole 10 at 8:00 a.m., while the women will go off number one at 8:15 a.m.
