Denison Collects 2025 NCAC Men’s Tournament Title

GRANVILLE, OH - The Denison Big Red earned the 2025 NCAC Men's Tennis Tournament title on Sunday, May 4, on their home tennis courts in Granville, Ohio. The Big Red defeated Kenyon, 4-1, winning their fifth-straight and 12th overall NCAC tournament title in program history.
 
Denison began the day with a 1-0 lead after doubles play. The Big Red combo of Ethan Green (Salt Lake City, UT/Skyline) and Kael Shah (Nairobi, Kenya/ES American School Barcelona (Spain)) secured a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles, while Colin Gramley (Sharon, PA/Shady Side Academy) and Jacob Patterson (Bridgeville, PA/South Fayette) collected a 6-1 victory at No. 2 doubles and Andreas Chapides (Limassol, Cyprus/ES International School) and Nicholas Meyers (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore) earned a 6-2 win at the third flight.
 
In singles play, Denison captured three points with Green earning the win at No. 1 (6-2, 6-2), Meyers collecting the victory at No. 4 (6-4, 6-1) and Chapides posting the win at No. 5 (6-2, 6-2). Kenyon’s Alejandro Gonzalez (Monterrey, Mexico/Citizens) collected the Owls lone point with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles.
 
As conference tournament champions, Denison has earned the league's automatic bid into the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Tournament. The NCAA Division III field will be announced at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, May 5, on NCAA.com.
