2025 All-NCAC Women's Tennis Team Released

CLEVELAND - Kenyon junior Eleni Lazaridou (Veroia, Greece/4th Lyceum of Veria) claimed her third-consecutive Player of the Year honor, while she and first-year teammate Hana Nouaime (Eagleville, PA/Methacton) captured the Doubles Team of the Year award to highlight the 2025 All-NCAC women's tennis team.

Lazaridou has posted a 14-2 dual record this season all at the top flight. She has now earned three straight All-NCAC first-team certificates and recorded a 2-0 record against conference opponents this season. She is the seventh-consecutive and 21st overall Player of the Year winner for the Owls. The 2023 NCAC Newcomer of the Year is ranked 12th in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national rankings.

Lazaridou and Nouaime posted a 15-3 doubles record all from the No. 1 flight this season, en route to their Doubles Team of the Year honor. This is the fifth consecutive doubles team honor for Kenyon. The duo went a perfect 4-0 against NCAC opponents and owns the 21st spot in the ITA's national rankings. Nouaime also earned a selection to the third team for her singles play at the No. 3, 4 and 5 flights after the rookie went 11-6 in dual matches and posted a 4-0 mark in NCAC play.

Denison junior Peyton Oda (Elk Grove Village, IL/Elk Grove) and Wittenberg senior Caroline Sproule (Lewis Center, OH/Olentangy Orange) join Lazaridou as the only repeat selections to the singles first team from last season. Sproule also collected a second-team nod in 2023. Kenyon junior Shadia Amado Aguad (Arequipa, Peru/Colegio Anglo Americano Presco) and DePauw senior Kassie Green (Boca Raton, FL/Florida Virtual School) elevate to the first team after second-team honors a season ago, while Amado Aguad was also tabbed to the second team in 2023. Denison first-year Caitlin VanWinkle (Indianapolis, IN/Park Tudor School) makes her All-NCAC debut on the top team.

In doubles play, Lazaridou and Nouaime were joined on the first team by Denison sophomore Maia Nowicki (Des Plaines, IL/St Viator) and Oda and DePauw senior Ellen Gardner (Carmel, IN/Guerin Catholic) and Green. Nowicki and Oda posted an 11-7 record in dual matches all at the top flight, while Gardner and Green recorded an 11-11 mark in dual matches at No. 1.

In addition to earning All-NCAC first-team honors in her first year of collegiate women’s tennis, VanWinkle was named the NCAC Newcomer of the Year. She tallied a 9-6 dual record, including a 7-4 mark at the second flight and a 2-2 mark at No. 3. She is the seventh Big Red player to be named NCAC Newcomer of the Year and first since 2021 when Sydney Cianciola collected the honor. The rookie went 2-1 against conference foes in the regular season at the No. 2 flight, while she and sophomore teammate Dasha Chistyakova (Dublin, OH/Dublin Coffman) also earned All-NCAC third-team doubles honors after posting a 3-0 dual record at the No. 2 and 3 flights.

Finally, Oberlin earned the 2025 Coaching Staff of the Year honor. This is the fifth time that the Yeowomen’s leadership has earned the top coaching honor in women’s tennis. Head coach Magda Stepnik, who is in her second season at the helm, is assisted by John Erikson. With a young roster, the duo guided the Oberlin women to an impressive turnaround this season, bouncing back from a challenging 1-17 campaign last year to finish 8-10 overall and 3-3 in NCAC play.
