2025 All-NCAC Women's Lacrosse Team Announced

CLEVELAND, OH -- The Denison duo of senior Anna DeVuono (Devon, PA/Conestoga) and junior Mary Martinson (Concord, NH/Concord) along with Ohio Wesleyan junior Abbie Grogan (Louisville, KY/Kentucky Country Day) earned top Player of the Year honors to headline the 2025 All-North Coast Athletic Conference women's lacrosse squads following balloting by the league coaches.

DeVuono was the league's top scorer in conference action with 26 goals and 30 points, helping propel her to Offensive Player of the Year. She earns Denison its ninth overall Offensive Player of the Year honor and first since Liza Farnham collected the award in 2021. The attacker recorded at least three points in all six NCAC games, highlighted by a seven-goal effort in a battle of the unbeatens win over Wooster on April 22. Through 18 games, the senior has tallied 72 goals and seven assists for a conference-high 79 points. The senior collects her first all-conference certificate this season after landing on the top team.

Martinson earns her second All-NCAC certificate after collecting her first nod to the top team this season after earning a third-team selection in 2024. She is the fourth Denison player to claim the NCAC Midfielder of the Year award and first since Casey McTague was named in 2022. Martinson averaged 3.5 points-per-NCAC-game this year, tallying the second-most goals with 18 to go along with three assists in league play. In conference games, she scooped up 11 ground balls, caused seven turnovers, and earned 28 draw controls. In 17 overall games, Martinson recorded 83 draw controls, 26 ground balls, 12 caused turnovers, 44 goals and seven assists.

Grogan, who is making her second-consecutive appearance on the All-NCAC first team after a third-team selection in 2023, earns Ohio Wesleyan its fourth NCAC Defensive Player of the Year award and first since Sarah Hanley was honored in 2023. In conference games, the junior topped the league with 18 caused turnovers (3.0/game), tied for second in the NCAC in ground balls with 21 (3.5/game) and tied for second in draw controls with 36 (6.0/game). The senior posted a season-high nine draw controls against Denison and three-consecutive games against Wooster, Wittenberg and DePauw with at least two ground balls, five caused turnovers and four draw controls. Overall, Grogan currently ranks first in the NCAC with 50 caused turnovers and led OWU with 100 draw controls and 62 ground balls.

Kenyon senior goalkeeper Nola Garand (Southborough, MA/Algonquin Regional) is the only four-time first-team selection after earning a spot on the top team all four years of her career. DePauw senior midfielder Bridget Driscoll (New Albany, OH/New Albany) and Wooster senior midfielder Kenzie Morris (Chardon, OH/Chardon) also collect their fourth all-conference certificates after Driscoll was named to the top time for the third-straight year along with a second-team nod in her rookie season, while Morris collects top-team honors after a second-team selection in 2024, first-team laurels in 2023 and honorable mention in 2022. Denison senior defender Mary Daniel (Wellesley, MA/Wellesley) also repeats as a first-team honoree for the third-consecutive season, while Kenyon senior attacker Blythe Karras (Lake Forest, IL/Lake Forest) and junior midfielder Lily Mason (Evanston, IL/Evanston) along with Wooster junior attack Brynne Snaguski (Palos Verdes Estates/Palos Verdes Peninsula) all elevate to the first-team this season. Mason collected second-team honors in 2023, while Karras and Snaguski were named to the third team last season.

Joining DeVuono as first time All-NCAC first-team recipients are Denison senior defender Liz Hinton (Walpole, MA/Walpole), DePauw first-year attacker Rosalie Tasker (St. Louis, MO/John Burroughs School) and Ohio Wesleyan sophomore attack Brie Colangelo (Providence, RI/Moses Brown School).

In addition to earning All-NCAC first-team honors in her first year of collegiate women’s lacrosse, Tasker was named the NCAC Newcomer of the Year. Tasker is the first Tiger athlete to claim the award. Making all six starts against NCAC opponents, the attacker netted 12 goals and dished out five assists, totaling 17 points. She produced at least three points in four of the team’s six NCAC matchups. In overall games this season, Tasker ranks in the top five in the conference in assists (26) and points (64).

Finally, Wooster’s leadership earned Coaching Staff of the Year honors. Anchored by head coach Elizabeth Ford, the Fighting Scots recorded a 5-1 mark in NCAC play this season, the program’s most conference wins since 2019 (7-1). Ford is assisted by Katie Shideler, as the duo earns Wooster its eighth NCAC coaching honor. In six conference games, the Fighting Scots were top three in several statistical categories, leading the league in ground balls (158) and the lowest goals-against average (8.64), tying for the fewest goals allowed (52), ranking second in turnovers (89) and caused turnovers (64) and producing the third most draw controls (90).
