In the final update of the 2024-25 Division III LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup standings, eight North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) institutions earned national rankings. Denison paced the conference with a ranking of 20th among 323 point-scoring schools. The Big Red have now led the NCAC for six consecutive seasons, excluding 2020 and 2021 when no points were awarded.
The Learfield Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships in up to 18 sports across the fall, winter and spring seasons.
Denison finished the 2024-25 season with 666.00 points to lead the NCAC, earning 338.00 points this spring after totaling 278.00 points in the winter and fall. The Big Red’s spring season was highlighted by a perfect 100-point contribution from the men’s tennis team after they captured the 2025 NCAA National Title. The baseball team added 78.00 points with a fifth-place finish, while women’s lacrosse also secured a fifth-place national finish to register 73.00 points. Women’s golf (58.50 points) and men’s lacrosse (50.00 points) contributed key points by finishing 16th and 17th in their respective national championships. Men’s outdoor track and field rounded out scoring for the Big Red, collecting a 42nd-place finish to obtain 28.50 points.
Kenyon secured 43rd overall, accumulating 414.25 points to rank as the NCAC’s second-highest scoring institution. The Owls picked up 190.25 points in the spring, highlighted by 64.00-point performances from both the men’s and women’s tennis teams, each of which advanced into the round of 16 to finish ninth nationally. Men’s golf rounded out the spring contributions with a 13th-place showing on the national stage to tally 62.25 points.
Ohio Wesleyan compiled 242.50 overall points to earn 85th place. The Battling Bishops secured 78.50 points in the spring, led by the men’s lacrosse team, who provided 50 points after finishing 17th nationally. Men’s outdoor track and field tallied 28.50 points after placing 42nd at the NCAA Championships.
DePauw finished 91st in the rankings, totaling 221.50 points throughout 2024-25. The Tigers added 37.50 points in the spring, which were earned by the softball team’s 33rd-place finish.
Wittenberg placed 166
th, collecting 110.00 total points, composing 79.00 points during the spring season. The Tigers were led by a 16th-place finish from the men’s golf team, which brought in 58.50 points, while men’s outdoor track and field contributed 20.50 points with a 50th-place showing.
Wooster placed 192nd in the standings by culminating 83.00 total points. The Fighting Scots’ women’s lacrosse team added 50.00 points after finishing 17th at the national championship.
Wabash, a male-only institution, earned 74.50 points to finish 203rd overall, with the men’s outdoor track and field team contributing 5.00 points in the spring season following a 67th-place showing at the national meet.
Hiram closed out the NCAC’s representation at 280th overall with 33 points, all of which came from a 39th-place showing in men’s indoor track and field.
Emory University claimed the 2024-25 Division III Directors’ Cup, winning with 1,198.75 total points. Johns Hopkins, the reigning champion for the past two years, placed second with 1,147.00 points, while Tufts University earned 1,069.00 points to round out the top three.
