The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) named four North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) student-athletes to its 2024-25 Division III All-America Team on Thursday, June 5. Denison juniors
Ethan Green (Salt Lake City, UT/Skyline),
Kael Shah (Nairobi, Kenya/ES American School Barcelona (Spain)) and
Jacob Patterson (Bridgeville, PA/South Fayette) along with Kenyon junior
Eleni Lazaridou (Veroia, Greece/4th Lyceum of Veria) earned All-American honors.
ITA All-America status in singles is granted to student-athletes who are a top eight seed in the NCAA singles tournament, win one round at the NCAA singles tournament, finish in the Top 20 in the final ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings, win ITA Fall Regional Tournament, or win a first-round match at the ITA National Small College Championships (ITA Cup). All-American honors are awarded to doubles teams that are a top 4 seed in NCAA doubles tournament, win one round at the NCAA doubles tournament, finish in the Top 10 in the final ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings, win the ITA Fall Regional Tournament, or win a first-round match at the ITA National Small College Championships.
Green and Shah highlighted the NCAC by earning All-American accolades in both singles and doubles action. These honors add to the duo's already stellar résumés after both were named CSC Academic All-Americans last week. Green, the 2025 NCAC Player of the Year, went 17-5 in singles dual matches and 7-0 in conference play, while Shah finished the 2024-25 season as the national runner-up in the NCAA Division III Singles Championship while totaling a 19-4 singles record (7-0 NCAC). Together, the two-time NCAC Doubles Team of the Year, went 20-3 in doubles dual matches, including a perfect 4-0 against NCAC opponents. Shah has earned every possible ITA All-American honor since joining the Big Red (three singles, three doubles), while Green is now a five-time ITA All-American (two singles, three doubles).
Patterson collected his first career ITA All-American honor in singles after a strong junior campaign. With a 19-7 record across flights No. 1-3, the 2024 NCAC Player of the Year was named to the 2025 all-conference first team for the third year in a row.
Lazaridou obtained a spot on the All-America Team for women’s singles after recording a dominant 15-2 record in dual match play. A three-time NCAC Player of the Year and persistent first-team All-NCAC honoree, the junior capped the 2024-25 campaign by reaching the quarterfinals of the 2025 NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Singles Championship.
