Wooster graduate Nick Everett (Salem, OH/West Branch) has signed a professional contract to play with the San Ignacio Western Ballaz of the Belize Elite Basketball League (BEBL). Everett becomes the sixth Wooster men’s basketball alumnus to ink a professional deal since the late 1980s and joins Oberlin’s Yuuki Okubo (Los Angeles, CA/Crossroads) as the second former NCAC basketball player to secure an international contract this summer.

The graduate capped his Wooster career as the NCAC’s all-time leader in field-goal percentage at an astounding 65.3% (427-of-654). Over the course of his collegiate career with the Fighting Scots, Everett earned third-team All-NCAC honors in his junior and fifth-year campaigns, with his standout performance as a senior in 2024 culminating in a first-team selection and recognition as the NCAC Player of the Year. His impressive senior campaign also earned him a selection to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District First Team and recognition as a second-team All-Region pick by D3hoops.com.

The Western Ballaz were established in 2023, while the BEBL features seven competitive teams from across the country. San Ignacio’s season runs through the middle of August.
