Ohio Wesleyan graduate
Trey Theobald (Archbold, OH/Archbold) was tabbed to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Men’s Academic All-America® Track & Field/Cross Country First Team, announced on Wednesday, July 16. Theobald, a biochemistry major who graduated with a 3.96 GPA, earns first-team honors for the second consecutive year.
At the 2025 NCAC Outdoor Championships, Theobald launched the javelin 62.54 meters to claim the individual conference title. He then capped his senior campaign with a personal-best mark of 65.90 meters on his final attempt at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, breaking his own school record, placing fourth overall, and earning First-Team All-America honors for the second time.
Across his collegiate career, Theobald secured three All-NCAC and All-Ohio honors, two All-Region certificates from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), and two first-team All-American trophies.
