LEXINGTON, KY – Krystal Cammuse has been named Interim Head Coach of the Transylvania University Field Hockey program.

"Thank you to the administration that has given me an opportunity to be a part of this wonderful program," said Cammuse. "I'm excited to get started on this new endeavor with this amazing team this season!"

Cammuse served as the Assistant Coach for the Field Hockey program in 2024 and also serves as Assistant Softball Coach. Prior to her time at Transylvania, Cammuse served as an Assistant Softball Coach at St. Catherine in 2015 and Midway from 2016 to 2019. Most recently, prior to her current roles, she served as Head Softball Coach at Centre College from 2021 to 2024. Cammuse earned a Bachelor's Degree at St. Catherine in Business in 2015.

Cammuse joined the Field Hockey program last season, a season that saw the Pioneers record a 7-9 record, including a 4-7 mark in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC). Their seven victories tied the most wins in a single season (2017, 2022) for the team since the 2013 team reached eight victories. Libby Bringard ('25) earned Second Team All-Conference honors last season, while Sidney Aldridge earned Third Team All-Conference honors.

"We are incredibly thankful that Krystal has stepped in as our interim head coach this season, and I am confident she will do a tremendous job," said Jeff Chaney, Vice President of Athletics. "She has already made a significant impact on both our field hockey and softball programs since her arrival at Transy."
