GRANVILLE, OH - Denison Athletics welcomes Clark Tinder as the Big Red's Coordinator of Aquatics Operations and Intramurals. A native of Muncie, Indiana, Tinder joins Denison Athletics' staff after three years at fellow North Coast Athletic Conference institution Wabash College.

Tinder, a 2020 graduate of Wabash College, returned to his alma mater as the assistant director of facilities, equipment, and game operations in 2022. In 2024, he was named assistant athletics director of operations.

"I am thrilled to join Denison as the Coordinator of Aquatics Operations and Intramurals", shared Tinder.  "My career has always been rooted in supporting the Division III student-athlete experience, and few places do that better than Denison. The history and tradition here are truly inspiring, and I'm excited to grow in this role while creating opportunities that make a real difference for students and the broader Granville community."

Tiffany Ozbun, Assistant Director of Athletics-Internal Operations & Intramurals, shared that, "We're excited to welcome Clark Tinder to Denison as our new Coordinator of Aquatics Operations and Intramurals. His experience managing high-level athletics operations, combined with a genuine passion for student development, makes him a perfect addition to our team."

Before joining Wabash's administrative staff, he worked as a graduate assistant for student development and administration. He was also a part of the Cardinals' game day operations staff at Ball State University. While at Ball State, Tinder earned a master's degree in sports administration.

"Clark's background in coordinating complex events and leading student staff at both Wabash and Ball State demonstrates his ability to handle the demands of a dynamic collegiate environment. We're confident he'll make an immediate impact in our Aquatics Center and across campus", said Ozbun.

Ozbun continued to share that, "What stood out about Clark was not just his operational expertise, but his commitment to people-first leadership. He understands that creating meaningful experiences for students—whether through intramurals or varsity events—is at the core of what we do."
