CLEVELAND, OH — Four North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) football student-athletes earned national recognition as DePauw wide receiver Robby Ballentine (Crown Point, IN/Andrean), John Carroll wide receiver Tyren Montgomery (The Woodlands, TX/The Woodlands College Park) and quarterback Nick Semptimphelter (Hudson, OH/Hudson), and Wabash offensive tackle Quinn Sholar (Indianapolis, IN/Warren Central) were named to the 2025 D3football.com All-America Teams.
Ballentine repeated as a Second Team All-American, becoming the second DePauw student-athlete to earn multiple D3football.com All-America honors in their career. The NCAC Offensive Player of the Year led the Tigers with program single-season records of 92 receptions and 1,314 receiving yards while adding 16 touchdown catches. He recorded at least four receptions in every game and caught a touchdown pass in 11 of DePauw's 12 contests, highlighted by program-record performances of 244 receiving yards at Centre and 246 yards at Denison. Ballentine concluded his career as the NCAC record holder in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdown receptions.
Montgomery earned First Team All-America honors after posting one of the most productive receiving seasons in Division III and helping guide John Carroll to the NCAA Division III semifinals for just the third time in program history. He set JCU single-season records with 119 receptions and 1,528 receiving yards while adding 15 touchdown catches. Montgomery recorded at least five receptions in every game and delivered consistently in the postseason, totaling 38 receptions for 440 yards across four playoff contests. He finished his career ranked among the program's all-time leaders in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns, becoming the first Blue Streak wide receiver to earn D3football.com All-America recognition as a receiver.
Semptimphelter was named a Fourth Team All-American following a record-setting campaign at quarterback for the Blue Streaks. He established the NCAA Division III single-season record for completion percentage at 77.9 percent, throwing for 3,623 yards with 36 touchdowns against just four interceptions. His play helped John Carroll set a new Division III standard with a 77.16 team completion percentage. Semptimphelter concluded his career ranked among the program's all-time leaders in passing yards (6,535) and passing touchdowns (74) while finishing as the school's career leader in completion percentage (77.0 percent).
Sholar earned Fourth Team All-America honors after anchoring Wabash's offensive line throughout the 2025 season. A four-time First Team All-NCAC selection at left tackle, he helped lead one of the conference's most balanced offenses. The Little Giants ranked second in the NCAC in rushing offense (140.4), third in scoring (37.1) and passing offense (269.1), and fourth in total offense (409.5). Sholar's consistency and durability helped guide Wabash to a 9-2 regular-season record and the program's second-consecutive Opendorse Bowl Series appearance, capped by a 32-31 victory over Ohio Northern in the 2025 ForeverLawn Bowl.
