SPRINGFIELD, OH -- Wittenberg won its third consecutive and fifth overall league title at the 2026 NCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday at Wittenberg’s Steemer in Springfield, Ohio. The Tigers accumulated 157 points to win the team title, while Wabash finished second with 144 total points. John Carroll finished third with 111 points, followed by Ohio Wesleyan (91.5), DePauw (71.5), Oberlin (61), Kenyon (40), Denison (18), and Wooster (4).
2026 NCAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Year Award Winners:
Men's Field: Quinn Sholar, Wabash
Wabash senior Quinn Sholar (Indianapolis, IN/Warren Central) collected the league’s top field athlete of the year honor after earning two event titles, while resetting an NCAC record. The senior was named the conference champion in the weight throw after launching the implement 18.69 meters on his final attempt in the ring to reset the NCAC record. He also topped the podium in the shot put with a toss of 16.42 meters.
Men's Sprint/Hurdles: Cameron Elliott, Wittenberg
Wittenberg senior Cameron Elliott (Springfield, OH/Springfield) earned the sprinter/hurdler of the year award after earning three All-NCAC honors including two event titles. The senior placed first in the 400-meter dash in a time of 47.07, while he and a trio of sophomores, Kory Davis (Brookville, OH/Brookville), Dashawn Seye (Centerville, OH/Centerville) and Jack Kittle (Chagrin Falls, OH/Chagrin Falls), earned the conference title in the 4x400 meter relay, crossing the line in 3:16.61. The Springfield, Ohio native also captured third in the 200-meter dash after finishing in 21.76 seconds.
Men's Distance/Middle Distance: Lukas Rieben, Wittenberg
Wittenberg junior Lukas Rieben (Clayton, OH/Northmont) earned two event titles to earn the NCAC Distance Athlete of the Year award. The junior placed first in both the 3,000 and 5,000 meters after crossing the line in 8:31.14 and 14:56.28, respectively.
Newcomer of the Year: Brock DeBello, Wabash
Wabash first-year Brock DeBello (North Salem, IN/Tri West) earned newcomer of the year honors after earning two All-NCAC certificates. The rookie placed fourth in the 400-meter dash after crossing the finish line in 47.47 seconds, while DeBello, along with juniors Owen Smith (Lakeville, IN/LaVille) and David Adesanya (Avon, IN/Ben Davis) and senior Haiden Diemer-McKinney (Brownsburg, IN/Brownsburg), earned the conference title in the 4x200 meter relay, breaking the tape in 3:19.75.
Men's Coaching Staff of the Year: Wittenberg
The Wittenberg Tigers were named the 2026 NCAC Men’s Indoor Track & Field Coaching Staff of the Year for the third-consecutive season. Paris Hilliard and his staff, Alexia Page-Boyd, Josh Lynch, Chris Marco, Kylee Mastin, Adam Fox and Morgan Adams guided the Tigers to a three-peat, collecting the program's fifth overall title after earning 13 All-NCAC performances including seven NCAC event titles.
