SPRINGFIELD, OH -- The John Carroll women captured the 2026 NCAC Indoor Track & Field Championship Title on Saturday at Wittenberg’s Steemer in Springfield, Ohio. The Blue Streaks topped the team standings at the two-day meet with 166 points. Ohio Wesleyan checked in with 150 points for second, followed by DePauw (137), Wittenberg (94), Denison (82), Kenyon (45), Oberlin (15), and Wooster (13).
2026 NCAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Year Award Winners:
Women's Field & Newcomer of the Year: Kerrington Harper, Wittenberg
Wittenberg first-year Kerrington Harper (Mason, OH/Mason) earned newcomer of the year honors as well as the league’s top award in field events after earning two All-NCAC honors. She made it to the top of the podium in the high jump with a leap of 1.62 meters and earned an all-conference nod in the triple jump with a mark of 11.20 meters to secure a third-place finish. The rookie also took fourth in the long jump with a distance of 5.37 meters to conclude the meet earning 21 points for the Tigers.
Women's Sprint/Hurdles: Shelby Stall, DePauw
DePauw junior Shelby Stall (Lindenhurst, IL/Lakes) earned the NCAC’s sprint/hurdles award after winning three events and posting a third-place finish at the 2026 championships. She claimed the 200-meter dash title in a time of 24.47 seconds and she served as the anchor leg on the winning 4x200- and 4x400-meter relay teams, as she and classmate Liberty Scott (Galveston, IN/Lewis Cass) and first-years Courtney Powell (Terre Haute, IN/Terre Haute South) and Estella Salyers (Park City, UT/Park City) finished the 4x200 in 1:41.17 for first, while Scott, Powell, sophomore Lily Hovda (Zionsville, IN/University High School) and Stall crossed in 3:52.47 for the 4x400 title. The Lindenhurst, Illinois native also earned All-NCAC honors in the 60-meter dash after she finished third with a time of 78.80.
Women's Distance/Middle Distance: Abby Schroff, John Carroll
John Carroll senior Abby Schroff (Lewis Center, OH/Olentangy Orange) collected the award as the league’s top distance runner over the course of the meet as she claimed three conference crowns. The senior won the mile, breaking the tape in 4:56.69, crossed first in the 3,000-meter run, finishing in 10:06.09, and claimed the title in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:34.10.
Women's Coaching Staff of the Year: John Carroll
The John Carroll Blue Streaks earned NCAC Women’s Indoor Track & Field Coaching Staff of the Year honors. Daniel Tutskey and his staff, Steve Fueling, Jamie Dailey, Corey Minton, Joe McNulty, Bryce Basista, Brady Dutton and Alec Gorman guided the Blue Streaks to the program’s first conference title after earning 14 All-NCAC performances including seven NCAC event titles.
