JCU's Alramahi Earns National Athlete of the Week 2/3/2026 3:00:00 PM Share: NEW ORLEANS, LA - The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) named John Carroll senior Basheer Alramahi (Westlake, OH/Westlake) the NCAA Division III National Athlete of the Week, presented by M-F Athletic, announced Monday, February 2. Alramahi delivered a historic performance at the Penn State National Open, setting a new NCAA Division III national record in the 600-meter run. The senior clocked a time of 1:17.97 to place third overall in a field of six competitors that featured mostly Division I runners. His record-breaking effort shattered a national mark that had stood since 2012. The honor marks Alramahi’s first career USTFCCCA/M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week award and the North Coast Athletic Conference's (NCAC) first selection of the 2025-26 season.
