Baseball Pitcher – Wade Thewes, Wittenberg
Wittenberg sophomore
Wade Thewes (Parker, CO/Lutheran) turned in a dominant outing on the mound to help lead the Tigers collect a 10-4 win over No. 19 Christopher Newport. Thewes earned the victory against the nationally ranked Captains, tossing 7.0 shutout innings while allowing just four hits and two walks and striking out six batters. He faced 25 batters in the start and limited opponents to a .174 batting average, securing his second win of the season.
Baseball Player – Jack Lutte, Denison
Denison junior outfielder
Jack Lutte (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) led the top-ranked Big Red to a 3-0 week with a standout offensive performance against nationally recognized competition. Lutte hit .750 (9-for-12) at the plate while scoring nine runs and driving in seven RBI, finishing the week with a 1.167 slugging percentage and .813 on-base percentage. He recorded two doubles and a home run, highlighted by a grand slam in Denison’s 17-0 victory over North Central. Lutte opened the week going 2-for-3 with four scored runs and one RBI in a 15-5 win over No. 17 Adrian, followed by a 3-for-4 effort with two runs scored in a 13-5 victory over Baldwin Wallace. He capped the week with a 4-for-5 performance, including two doubles, a grand slam, three runs scored, and six RBI in the win over North Central.
Men's Golf – Jack Pelletier, Denison
Denison first-year
Jack Pelletier (Charlotte, NC/Ardrey Kell) helped propel the Big Red to a third-place finish out of 14 teams at the Hampden-Sydney Invitational at Foxfire Resort & Golf Club (6,755 yards). Pelletier shot a two-round total of 144 (74-70) to finish even par and tie for 10th in the individual standings, with his second-round 70 (-2) serving as the low round of the tournament for Denison. He capped his week with an eagle on the par-5 fourth hole on Tuesday.
Women’s Golf – Natalia Fanucchi, Denison
Denison junior
Natalia Fanucchi (Carlsbad, CA/Sage Creek) turned in a career-low performance at the Savannah Invitational (5,714 yards), shooting a two-round three-under 143 to tie for seventh in the individual standings. Fanucchi opened with a 71 (-2) on Monday, rattling off three-consecutive birdies early to set the tone for what became the best round of her career. She kept the momentum going on Tuesday, closing with a birdie on the final hole to card a 72 (-1). Denison finished ninth out of 19 teams.
Men’s Lacrosse – Jack Holub, Wooster
Wooster sophomore attacker
Jack Holub (Mooresville, NC/Horace Greeley) tied the program's single-game record with nine goals in Sunday's 17-10 win over UMass Boston, the most by a Fighting Scot since
Tom Bennett scored nine against Dickinson in 1992. Holub wasted no time getting started, netting three goals in the game's opening 94 seconds, and finished the afternoon with 10 points, three ground balls, one caused turnover, and a .909 shot percentage on 11 attempts.
Women’s Lacrosse – Anna Vaccarelli, John Carroll
John Carroll sophomore attacker
Anna Vaccarelli (Medina, OH/Medina) scored a career-high five goals and added two assists to lead all scorers with seven points in a 13-12 road win over previously undefeated Hope on Friday. Vaccarelli scored the game-winning goal, finishing with a .833 shot percentage on six attempts and collecting two ground balls.
Softball Pitcher – Hailey Alspach, Oberlin
Oberlin senior
Hailey Alspach (Escondido, CA/Escondido Charter) led the Yeowomen to a dominant weekend in the circle, posting a 3-0 record with a 1.87 ERA over 18.2 innings pitched. Alspach allowed just five earned runs on 12 hits while striking out 23 batters and limiting opponents to a .176 batting average. She opened the weekend with a complete-game effort in a 3-2 win over Centre, allowing two earned runs on five hits with six strikeouts, helping secure head coach
Julie Pratt’s 400th career victory. Alspach followed with another complete-game performance in a 5-3 win over Berea, striking out a career-high 10 batters, while scattering six hits and allowing three earned runs. She also played a key role in the series finale against Berea, tossing 4.2 innings of relief while allowing just one hit and striking out seven to preserve a 10-8 victory.
Softball Player – Anjali Singh, Oberlin
Oberlin first-year outfielder
Anjali Singh (Fremont, CA/Mission San Jose) delivered a standout offensive performance to help lead the Yeowomen to a 3-1 week. Singh hit .583 (7-for-12) with six scored runs, one double, and one triple, while posting an .833 slugging percentage and a .688 on-base percentage. She opened the week, hitting 2-for-4 with a triple, three scored runs, three walks and five stolen bases in a 1-1 series with Centre (3-2, 6-11). Singh followed with a strong all-around performance in a doubleheader sweep of Berea (10-8, 5-3), going 5-for-8 with three scored runs, two stolen bases and a double.
Men’s Tennis – Ben Glassman, Wittenberg
Wittenberg sophomore
Ben Glassman (Woodbridge, CT/Amity Regional) went 3-0 across two matches as the Tigers posted wins over Hastings (4-3) and Berea (5-0). Against Hastings, Glassman's No. 2 doubles victory clinched the doubles point for Wittenberg before he delivered the decisive blow in the No. 3 singles flight, rallying to win 4-6, 7-6 (7-1), 10-6 to seal the team victory. He closed the week against Berea without dropping a game, winning his No. 3 singles match 6-0, 6-0. Glassman also did not drop a game in an exhibition doubles win over Berea (6-0).
Women’s Tennis – Maddie Kavenagh, John Carroll
John Carroll junior
Maddie Kavenagh (Akron, OH/Revere) went 4-0 across singles and doubles to guide the Blue Streaks to a perfect 2-0 weekend in NCAC play, with wins over DePauw (6-1) and Oberlin (7-0). Playing at No. 1 singles, Kavenagh won 7-5, 6-1 against the Tigers before colleting a 6-4, 6-2 win over the Yeowomen. She also claimed the No. 1 doubles point in both matches, winning 6-2 and 6-1, respectively.

Denison, Men's Lacrosse – Senior goalkeeper
Andrew Albert (Weston, CT/The Hill School) surpassed 500 career saves in Saturday's 8-5 loss to Dickinson.
Kenyon, Men's Lacrosse – Senior attack
David Chintala (New Albany, OH/Saint Francis De Sales) recorded his sixth hat trick of the season with three goals and one assist in Saturday's 10-7 win over Grove City, while adding five ground balls and a caused turnover.
Oberlin, Men's Lacrosse – Sophomore attack
Nicholas Cuda (Pittsburgh, PA/The Kiski School) recorded a career high seven ground balls while totaling five points on two goals and three assists in Friday's 14-6 win over Adrian.
Oberlin, Women's Lacrosse – Sophomore attack
Kylie Thompson (Redondo Beach, CA/Redondo Union) recorded career highs with six goals and three assists for nine points in Friday's 17-3 win over Albion, tying the second-highest single-game point total in program history. Thompson was a perfect 6-for-6 on shots and scored five of her six goals in the first quarter to help the Yeowomen seize control early.
Ohio Wesleyan, Men's Indoor Track & Field – Junior
Connor Smith (Marysville, OH/Marysville) won the national championship in the high jump with a personal-best mark of 2.12 meters at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships.
Ohio Wesleyan, Women's Indoor Track & Field – Sophomore
Katherine Dortmund (Westerville, OH/St. Francis DeSales) set a school record with an 8.55 in the 60-meter hurdles to finish third at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships.
Wabash, Baseball – First-year pitcher
Isaac Stallings (Newburgh, IN/Castle) earned the first victory of his career in Friday's 13-4 win at Oglethorpe, tossing 2.2 innings of scoreless relief and allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out two … Sophomore infielder
Jimmy Hawksworth (Mokena, IL/Lincoln-Way Central) hit the first home run of his career, a two-run blast in Friday's game one at Oglethorpe, and followed it up with a second homer later that afternoon in the 13-4 victory.
Wittenberg, Softball – Senior pitcher
Lilly James (Troy, OH/Troy) reached 20 career saves after a three-save week on the Tigers' spring trip, highlighted by a save in a 3-2 win over No. 20 Rowan. James also earned saves in wins over Dominican (IL) (2-1) and Carroll (WI) (4-2).
