Montero tossed 6.2 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out 10 and issuing only one walk. He faced 23 batters and kept the Tigers off balance throughout, limiting any scoring threats. Baseball Player - Nate Lloyd, Denison Denison sophomore outfielder Nate Lloyd (Oakwood, OH/Oakwood) delivered an outstanding week at the plate, helping power the Big Red to a 6-0 week through a strong stretch of games. Lloyd batted .632 (12-for-19), scoring six runs, while posting an .895 slugging percentage and .696 on-base percentage. He recorded at least one hit in all six games, including multiple hits in five contests, and drove in seven runs on the week. Lloyd added extra-base impact with a triple and a home run, while also showcasing his speed by going a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts. Men's Golf – Jack Yurosek, Denison Denison senior Jack Yurosek (Newport Beach, CA/Santa Margarita Catholic) won medalist honors at the DePauw Spring Clash at Pebble Brook Golf Club on Sunday, shooting a two-round total of 137 (67-70) at 3-under par to finish first among 56 golfers. Yurosek's first round was highlighted by a birdie-birdie-eagle stretch to close after starting three over through four holes. His performance helped lead Denison to a team victory and a new program record for lowest 36-hole total (562). It marked his second consecutive invitational win. Women's Golf - Becky Williams, DePauw DePauw senior Becky Williams (Zionsville, IN/University High School of Indiana) delivered a stellar performance to capture the individual title at the DePauw Spring Clash at Pebble Brook Golf Club on Sunday. Williams fired an even-par 140 (70-70) across two rounds, earning a one-stroke victory and securing the 14th tournament win of her career. She led the field with seven birdies and paced the Tigers with consistent play throughout the event. Men's Lacrosse - Case Lowery, Wooster Wooster sophomore goalkeeper Case Lowery (Avon, OH/Avon) delivered a standout week in net, leading the Fighting Scots to a pair of key victories and a share of the NCAC title. Lowery recorded 32 saves while allowing just 16 goals across wins over John Carroll (11-10) and Kenyon (13-6), finishing with an impressive .667 save percentage. He opened the week with 13 saves against the Blue Streaks and then turned in a career-best 19-save performance in a win over the Owls. Lowery's efforts anchored the Scots defensively and helped secure a spot in the conference tournament. Women's Lacrosse - Bridget Sheehy, Denison Denison senior midfielder Bridget Sheehy (Pawleys Island, SC/Westminster) led the Big Red to a 3-0 week against top competition, including a key win over No. 6 Washington and Lee. Sheehy totaled 13 points on eight goals and five assists, while adding seven draw controls, two caused turnovers and two ground balls. In a 15-11 victory over the Generals, she recorded three goals and one assist. In conference action, she tallied two goals and two assists in a 10-6 win over John Carroll and three goals and two assists in a 20-3 win over DePauw. Softball Pitcher - Madilyn Moffitt, Denison Denison junior pitcher Madilyn Moffitt (New Castle, IN/New Castle) delivered a dominant performance in the circle, leading the Big Red to a 10-0 victory over Oberlin. Moffitt tossed a complete-game five-inning shutout, allowing just two hits while striking out four and issuing no walks across 17 batters faced. Softball Player - Bekah Giel, Wittenberg Wittenberg junior infielder Bekah Giel (Amelia, OH/West Clermont) powered the Tigers to a 4-0 weekend that helped move the team atop the NCAC standings with a doubleheader sweep of Wooster (6-2, 3-1) . Giel batted .636 (7-for-11) with four runs scored, 10 RBI, two doubles, a triple, and four stolen bases in four games. She delivered key hits throughout the weekend, including a bases-clearing double in a run-rule win over Otterbein (13-2) and a decisive RBI double and stolen base in a 3-2 victory earlier in the series. Against the Fighting Scots, she went 3-for-5, producing one triple, three stolen bases, three RBI and two scored runs. Women's Tennis - Scarlett Kingston, Oberlin Oberlin sophomore Scarlett Kingston (Bayport, NY/Bayport-Blue Point) went undefeated across back-to-back 7-0 victories against Ohio Wesleyan and Otterbein over the weekend. Kingston won in straight sets at No. 2 singles in both matches (6-1, 6-1) and teamed with junior Freya Rahm (St. Paul, MN/Mounds Park Academy) for a 6-2 victory at No. 2 doubles against Ohio Wesleyan, outscoring opponents 30-6 across the weekend. The wins gave Oberlin its fourth and fifth sweeps of the season, the most in a single season in program history. Men's Sprints/Hurdles - Jacob Sandlin, DePauw DePauw sophomore Jacob Sandlin (San Pierre, IN/Kankakee Valley) swept the hurdle events at the Bill Kincaid Track and Field Invitational on Saturday, breaking his own school record in the 110-meter hurdles (14.45) and taking the 400-meter hurdles in 55.05. The 14.45 ranks 22nd nationally and leads the NCAC, while his 55.05 ranks fourth in the conference. He earned 20 points with his victories, which made up 23.3 percent of DePauw's 86-point team total as the Tigers placed fourth out of eight competing schools. Men's Mid-Distance/Distance - Dominick Dell, DePauw DePauw sophomore Dominick Dell (Zionsville, IN/Zionsville) won the 800-meter run at the Bill Kincaid Track and Field Invitational on Saturday with a time of 1:54.12, which ranks fifth in program history and third in the NCAC this season. Dell accounted for 11.6 percent of DePauw's team score as the Tigers finished fourth out of eight schools. Men's Field - Nick Farfoglia, Wittenberg Wittenberg junior Nick Farfoglia (Manchester, MD/Manchester Valley) earned the decathlon title at the NCAC Outdoor Track and Field Combined Championships over the weekend with 6,161 total points, setting personal bests in five events along the way. Farfoglia won the long jump (6.41m) and pole vault (4.25m), placed second in the 110-meter hurdles (16.49), 100-meter dash (11.29) and high jump (1.85m), fifth in the discus (33.69m), sixth in the 1,500-meter run (5:07.68) and seventh in the shot put (10.34m), javelin (37.62m) and 400-meter dash (52.98). He earned personal bests in the 100-meter dash, 400-meter dash, high jump, discus and 1,500-meter run. Women's Sprints/Hurdles - Shelby Stall, DePauw DePauw junior Shelby Stall (Lindenhurst, IL/Lakes) won both events she competed in at the Bill Kincaid Track and Field Invitational on Saturday, breaking her own school records in the 100- (12.10) and 200- (24.41) meter dashes. Both performances are nationally ranked, with the 100 sitting 45th and the 200 sitting 16th in Division III. Stall currently ranks second in the NCAC in the 200 and third in the 100. Her 20 points accounted for 17.9 percent of DePauw's team score en route to a third-place finish out of six competing schools. Women's Mid-Distance/Distance - Zora Starner, Ohio Wesleyan Ohio Wesleyan first-year Zora Starner (Millersburg, OH/West Holmes) earned her first collegiate outdoor victory at the Big Red Invitational on Friday, winning the 1500-meter run in 5:04.47. Women's Field - Cayla Eaton, Wittenberg Wittenberg sophomore Cayla Eaton (North Lewisburg, OH/Triad) topped the heptathlon field at the NCAC Outdoor Track and Field Combined Championships over the weekend, totaling 4,263 points and setting personal bests in the 100-meter hurdles, 200-meter dash and 800-meter run. She won four individual events, including the 100-meter hurdles (15.21), high jump (1.57m), long jump (5.08m) and javelin (31.11m), and added a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash (27.20), fourth in the shot put (8.32m) and fifth in the 800-meter run (2:41.62). Milestones & Records (April 20-26) Denison, Men's Lacrosse – Senior Kevin Berutich (Fishers, IN/Cathedral) reached 100 career points with three goals and one assist against DePauw. DePauw, Men's Lacrosse - First-year Kam Shiver (Twinsburg, OH/University School) set a new program record with nine goals in a 19-10 win over Wittenberg, surpassing the previous mark of eight set in 2024 by Connor Gibson. Shiver's breakout performance included 10 shots on goal and nine total points, highlighted by a dominant five-goal fourth quarter. Kenyon, Men's Lacrosse – Senior Adam Hall (Grand Rapids, MI/East Grand Rapids) set the program record for career saves against Wooster, surpassing the mark of 772 set by James Peace from 1968-71. Hall entered the game with 770 saves and broke the record at 12:13 in the second quarter. Kenyon, Women's Lacrosse - Senior Spencer Kirsch (Chevy Chase, MD/Bullis) scored a career-high six goals as part of an eight-point performance in the Owls' 18-6 win over Wittenberg. Oberlin, Men's Lacrosse - The Yeomen clinched a share of the program's first NCAC Championship after producing a 6-2 record in conference play. Ohio Wesleyan, Baseball - Senior Parker Tomlin (Atlanta, GA/Westerville (OH) Central) pitched his first career complete game on Wednesday, shutting down Kenyon 6-1, allowing just one earned run and struck out a career-high 10 batters. Ohio Wesleyan, Men's Lacrosse - Junior Wade Beckstrom (Devon, PA/Conestoga) recorded a season-high seven points in the Battling Bishops' finale against Stevenson, fueling a four-goal fourth-quarter comeback to secure a 14-12 victory. Ohio Wesleyan, Women's Lacrosse – Senior Sam Frary (Concord, CA/Clayton Valley Charter) surpassed 100 career goals with five against Oberlin on Saturday, finishing with 101. Ohio Wesleyan, Women's Outdoor Track & Field - The 4x100-meter relay team of sophomores Aelyn Baumbarger (Marysville, OH/Marysville), Kennedy Elfers (Powell, OH/Olentangy Liberty), and Katherine Dortmund (Westerville, OH/St. Francis DeSales), and first-year Alaina Nathan (Houston, TX/Eisenhower) set a new school record with a time of 46.90 at the Big Red Invitational on Friday. Wooster, Men's Lacrosse – The Fighting Scots clinched a share of the NCAC title with a 13-6 win over Kenyon on Saturday, the program's second conference championship and first since 2004. Sophomore Domenic Cuda (Latrobe, PA/The Kiski School) also broke the program's single-season record in caused turnovers in the win over Kenyon, finishing with 89, which ranks third in Division III history. Earlier in the week, senior Lane Kellogg (Arvada, CO/Ralston Valley) became the program's single-season leader in assists and points in an 11-10 win over John Carroll on Wednesday, reaching 57 and 90, respectively. Wooster, Women's Lacrosse - Senior Lizzie Hardy (Gibsonia, PA/Aquinas Academy of Pittsburgh) surpassed 200 career ground balls during a 2-0 week, becoming just the second player in program history to reach the milestone. Wooster, Men's Outdoor Track & Field - Sophomore Francis Nwokonko (Brockport, NY/Brockport) set a personal best in the 100-meter dash with an 11.09 at the Denison Invitational on Friday.
