Seven NCAC Student-Athletes Awarded NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has announced its 2025-26 Postgraduate Scholarship recipients, with seven student-athletes from the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) receiving the award. The NCAC representatives include Wooster's Elliot Miller (Mentor, OH/Mentor) and Wittenberg's Ally White (Harrison, OH/Harrison) from the fall cohort; Kenyon's Ethan Manske (Santa Fe, NM/St. Michaels) and Molly Haag (Middleton, WI/Middleton) from the winter cohort; and DePauw's Finley Buelte (Rockford, IL/Rockford Christian), Ohio Wesleyan's Trey Theobald (Archbold, OH/Archbold) and Wittenberg's Alex Nemunaitis (Perrysburg, OH/Ottawa) from the spring cohort.
 
Each year, the NCAA awards up to 126 postgraduate scholarships to student-athletes who have completed their final year of athletics competition. The scholarships are distributed evenly between men and women across the fall, winter, and spring sport seasons. The award is a one-time, nonrenewable scholarship intended to support graduate study at an accredited institution.
 
In total, 235 North Coast Athletic Conference student-athletes, 131 men and 104 women, have received NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships since 1984-85.

Finley Buelte, DePauw Men's Tennis
A biochemistry major with a 3.95 cumulative GPA, Buelte earned CSC Academic All-America third-team honors in 2025 and was a three-time CSC Academic All-District selection, a three-time NCAC Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll honoree and a four-time ITA Scholar-Athlete. He was also named the 2025 ITA Central Region Most Improved Player after his singles win total more than doubled between his sophomore and junior seasons.
 
Buelte climbed from All-NCAC second-team honors in 2023 and 2024 to first-team recognition in both singles and doubles as a junior and senior. He capped a breakout 2024-25 campaign with a 19-6 singles record and a 20-7 doubles mark, then repeated as a first-team all-conference performer in 2025-26 at DePauw's No. 1 singles position.

Molly Haag, Kenyon Women's Swimming & Diving
A mathematics major and member of the Pi Mu Epsilon Honor Society, Haag was a two-time CSC Academic All-American, four-time CSCAA Scholar All-American and three-
time NCAC Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll honoree. She made Kenyon's Merit List every semester and served as a Natural Science Divisional Speaker at Kenyon's Baccalaureate. Haag will attend the University of Colorado Law School. Her honors, alongside Manske's, lift Kenyon's own total to 94 recipients since 1969-70, second-most of any Division III school.
 
In the pool, Haag won individual national championships in the 500- and 1,650-yard freestyle and helped Kenyon capture the program's NCAA-record 25th team title in 2024. A four-time NCAA Championship qualifier, she finished her career with 18 All-America awards, six conference event titles and 16 all-conference honors, and was voted the 2026 NCAC Swimmer of the Year.

Ethan Manske, Kenyon Men's Swimming & Diving
A double major in environmental studies and Japanese, Manske was a three-time CSC Academic All-America First Team selection, a four-time CSCAA Scholar All-American and three-
time NCAC Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll honoree. He sat on Kenyon's Merit List every semester and earned the department's 2025 Japanese Prize. Manske will begin a 10-month intensive Japanese-language program in Yokohama through the Inter-University Center for Japanese Language Studies, affiliated with Stanford's Freeman Spogli Institute.
 
In the pool, Manske was a four-time NCAA Championship qualifier who helped Kenyon to runner-up national finishes in 2023 and 2024, while collecting 14 CSCAA All-America awards and four top-five career finishes at NCAA Championship meets. He won three straight conference titles in the 400-yard individual medley and amassed 11 all-conference honors over his career.
 
Elliot Miller, Wooster Men's Soccer
Miller, an environmental geoscience major with a physics minor, graduated summa cum laude and was a two-time NCAC Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll honoree. He earned second-team CSC Academic All-America honors, becoming the first Wooster men's soccer player to pair that honor with an on-field All-America nod in the same season. Miller plans to pursue graduate study in planetary geology, building on Independent Study research analyzing Icelandic samples for implications on Martian volcanism.
 
On the field, Miller was a fourth-team United Soccer Coaches All-American, the 2025 NCAC Offensive Player of the Year and a four-time All-NCAC honoree, topping Wooster with 22 points (eight goals, six assists) and leading the Fighting Scots to an 11-2-6 record, their best season since 2004 and first NCAC Tournament berth since that year. He is Wooster's 34th all-time NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship recipient.
 
Alex Nemunaitis, Wittenberg Baseball
A biochemistry/molecular biology graduate, Nemunaitis is Wittenberg's second NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship recipient of the 2025-26 school year, joining White. He was the University's male NCAC Scholar-Athlete Award honoree for 2024-25, a Presidential Scholar in Wittenberg's Class of 2026, a three-time NCAC Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll honoree and the program's first first-team CSC Academic All-America honoree in eight years. Nemunaitis will attend Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tennessee.
 
On the field, Nemunaitis closed his career batting .395, fourth in program history, with 20 home runs, 133 RBI and 152 runs scored. He earned first-team All-NCAC honors in 2025 and 2026 and a pair of All-America honors in 2026, helping lead Wittenberg to a 31-13 record and its first NCAA Tournament berth since 1994.
 
Trey Theobald, Ohio Wesleyan Men's Track & Field
A biochemistry and pre-medicine major with a biology minor, Theobald graduated with a 3.96 cumulative GPA, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa in 2025, was a two-time first-team CSC Academic All-America selection and a two-time NCAC Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll honoree. His research included summer programs at Vanderbilt University and the University of Michigan, and he was named the 2025 NCAC Don Hunsinger Award winner and Division III Commissioners Association Region VII Student-Athlete of the Year.
 
One of Division III's premier javelin throwers, Theobald earned first-team All-America honors in both 2024 and 2025, finishing as national runner-up in 2024 (213' 6") before breaking the Ohio Wesleyan school record with a fourth-place throw of 216' 2" in 2025. A three-time All-NCAC and All-Great Lakes Region honoree, he capped his career as the 2025 NCAC javelin champion.

Ally White, Wittenberg Volleyball 
A double major in communication and digital media and marketing with a sport management minor, White was the first Wittenberg student-athlete to earn an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship in seven years and just the program's ninth honoree since 1996 along with Nemunaitis. A three-time CSC Academic All-District honoree, she is a three-time NCAC Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll honoree, a 2026 Chi Alpha Sigma inductee and selected the winner of the Dr. Woodrow Wilson Prize for Excellence in Business.
 
A four-year letterwinner and three-year starter at libero, White earned first-team All-NCAC honors in 2024 and third-team in 2025, leading the Tigers and the conference in digs both seasons. Wittenberg won two NCAC titles and three NCAC Tournament titles during her career, reaching the NCAA Tournament in 2022, 2023 and 2025 and advancing to the second round as a senior.
 
Established in 1964, the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship program promotes and encourages graduate education by recognizing the Association's most accomplished student-athletes. The program evaluates candidates on their athletic and academic achievements, campus involvement, community service and leadership. An equitable selection process ensures that all nominees, regardless of sport, division, gender or race, are considered fairly.
