Wittenberg senior Zeke Bennett helped the Tigers to a victory in the 4x400 relay at the Tiger Opener. The quartet posted a time of 3:22.42, a mark that is the sixth-fastest in Division III so far this season. The senior also finished third in the 400-meter dash, clocking in with an Division III top-15 time of 50.01 seconds.

Wittenberg senior Ian McCandlish won the 800-meter run at the Tiger Opener on Saturday. The senior broke the tape in 1:54.16, edging out a field of six competitors.

Zack Lee, Oberlin
(New York, NY/Bard)

Oberlin senior Zack Lee posted a leap of 3.54 meters in the men's triple jump at the Case Western Holiday Classic. Lee's mark stands as the 12th-best figure in NCAA Division III this season.

Will Newby, Wabash
(Sullivan, IN/Sullivan)

Wabash freshman Will Newby broke the program record in the 60-meter dash twice on Saturday in his first collegiate meet. The rookie qualified for the finals of the 60-meter dash at the Illinois Wesleyan Titan First Chance meet with a time of 7.00 to break the previous Wabash record of 7.02 set during the 2019-20 indoor season. Newby bettered that time in the finals, finishing third with a time of 6.92 to run the first sub-seven second 60-meter time in school history. Newby added a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.94.

Haiden Diemer-McKinney, Wabash

Wabash freshman Haiden Diemer-McKinney broke the school record in the 600-meter run in his first collegiate meet. The first-year won the 600-meter run at Saturday's Titan First Chance meet at Illinois Wesleyan University with a time of 1:22.04 to break the previous Wabash-best mark of 1:23.44 set during the 2016-17 indoor track and field season. He also anchored the Little Giants' third place 4x400-meter relay team that finished in third place with a time of 3:27.19.

Quinn Sholar, Wabash

Wabash freshman Quinn Sholar won the shot put and placed fourth in the weight throw in his first collegiate meet at Saturday's Titan First Chance event. The rookie captured the individual title in the shot put with a distance of 15.97 meters for the second-best throw in Wabash indoor track and field history and fourth-best mark among all Division III throwers so far this indoor season. Sholar also scored a fourth-place finish in the weight throw with a mark of 15.27 meters, the tenth-best effort in Wabash program history.

Denison sophomore Ari Skolnik picked up the victory, set a new school record, and recorded the top time in the NCAC so far this season in the 60-meter hurdles at the Muskie Pride Meet, hosted by Muskingum on Saturday. The sophomore crossed the line in 8.51 seconds in the finals to claim the 60m hurdles victory. He also won the 60m dash prelims with a time of 7.12 seconds before finishing in second in the finals at 7.16 seconds. His time in the 60m dash is tied for third on Denison's top-10 list and is tied for the third-fastest time in the NCAC so far this season.

Wittenberg sophomore Conor Kolka captured first in the 3,000-meter run at the Muskie Pride Meet, hosted by Muskingum on Saturday. The sophomore crossed the line in 8:48.56, which was 11 seconds ahead of the runner-up, to claim the victory and record the fastest time in the NCAC so far this season.

Dylan Garretson, Wooster
(Newcomerstown, OH/Newcomerstown)


Wooster junior Dylan Garretson cleared 15 feet (4.57m) to win the pole vault at the season-opening Wooster Indoor Invitational on Saturday. Garretson currently ranks in the top-20 nationally in the event and holds the top mark in the NCAC so far this season.

Denison sophomore Malik Holley ran the first leg of the winning 4x200 relay (1:32.94) and took runner-up honors in the 400-meter dash (52.34), as the Big Red won the Fighting Scots Invitational. Denison's time in the 4x200 is the fastest in the NCAC so far this season and ranks eighth on Denison's top-10 list for indoor track & field.

Haiden Diemer-McKinney, Wabash

Wabash freshman Haiden Diemer-McKinney posted the sixth-fastest time in Division III this season with his winning effort in the 800-meter run at the Friday Night Spikes meet at Rose-Hulman. Diemer-McKinney ran the 800 in 1:53.45 for the fourth-fastest time in Wabash school history. The rookie also anchored the Little Giants' winning 4x400 relay that turned in a time of 3:26.19 for the second-fastest time among NCAC schools this season and 33-quickest in Division III.

Oberlin senior Zack Lee moved into first in the conference and 20th in the nation in the long jump with a winning clearance of 6.91 meters at the Fighting Scots Invitational. The career-best mark for Lee was good enough to best 17 other competitors in the event.

Wittenberg senior Zeke Bennett fared well at the annual Steemer Showcase which included 22 schools across all three NCAA Divisions. Bennett claimed a first-place finish and set a new school record in the 400m with a time of 48.26 (49.04). His time in the 400 currently ranks him No. 6th nationally. Bennett also ran a leg of the winning 4x400 relay that finished in 3:21.04 (3:24.26), which is the top time in the NCAC so far this season.

In the 800m run, McCandlish finished fourth in an indoor school record time of 1:52.48 (1:54.09). His time in the 800 currently ranks him 12th in all of Division III. The senior also ran a leg of the winning 4x400 relay that finished in 3:21.04 (3:24.26), which is the top time in the NCAC so far this season.

Denison sophomore Chris Slater earned the win in both the weight throw and the shot put for the third meet in a row as the Big Red competed in their annual dual meet at Wooster on Thursday. Slater recorded a 16.76-meter heave in the weight throw and 13.98-meter throw in the shot put to earn first in both events.

Wooster senior Will McMichael anchored the Fighting Scots' school-record 4x400 relay at Saturday's Bob Shannon Invitational. Wooster's time of 3:27.53 is :00.45 better than the old record set in 2020 and is the third-best NCAC time so far this season. McMichael was a double-winner at the meet, with his other blue ribbon coming in the 800 meters (1:58.90).

Wabash sophomore Brayden Curnutt turned in a career-best time to win the mile run at Friday evening's Tim Hreha Indoor Track and Field Invitational hosted by DePauw. Curnutt completed the circuit in 4:21.96 for the quickest mile run by an NCAC male runner this season. The sophomore's efforts helped the Little Giants capture the team title at the meet.

Wooster junior Dylan Garretson upped his indoor school record in the pole vault for the third-consecutive week, this time reaching a NCAC-leading 16' 0.0" (4.88 meters). Garretson's mark leads the NCAC by over two feet and he is currently ranked 11th nationally.

Wittenberg senior Zeke Bennett (Hilliard, OH/Hilliard Bradley) recorded a school record time in the 400-meter dash after finishing 15th out of 246 competitors at the Division I Boston University Valentine Invite. Bennett clocked in at 48.00 seconds (48.77) which is currently the top time in the NCAC and the fourth-fastest time in Division III.

Wittenberg sophomore Conor Kolka set a new school record in a time of 14:43.49 (14:52.95) in the 5,000-meter run at the Division I Boston University Valentine Invite. Kolka's time is currently the fastest in the NCAC and is the only sub-15-minute time in the league.

Denison sophomore Chris Slater broke his own school record and finished second in the weight throw at the All-Ohio Championships hosted by Wittenberg. Slater's toss of 17.71 meters is ranked first in the NCAC and ties him for 30th in Division III so far this season. The sophomore also took fourth in the shot put with a heave of 14.32 meters.

Wabash junior Takeshi Greiner won the 60-meter hurdles at the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes Meet. Greiner completed the race in 8.92 seconds to earn his first collegiate victory.

DePauw senior Ford Baker posted the conference's fastest time in 3000-meter run at the Wittenberg Invite. After crossing the line in 8:34.23, Baker enters the 2023 NCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships with the best time this season.

Denison junior Jacob Brown won the heptathlon with a new school record of 4,669 total points at this past weekend's 2023 NCAC Indoor Track & Field Combined Events Championships. Brown earned the NCAC title after earning a first-place finish in the in the long jump (6.63m/21' 9.0"), claiming runner-up honors in the 60-meter dash (7.38), the 60-meter hurdles (9.01), the 1,000-meter run (2:57.33) and the shot put (11.97m/39' 3.25), while also tying for third in the pole vault (3.84m/12' 7.25") and tying for sixth in the high jump (1.74m/5' 8.5").
