July, 2017 - Ohio Wesleyan President Rock Jones named president of the NCAC, with Allegheny President James Mullen, Jr. selected to serve as the vice president.

August, 2017 – Longtime official and administrator Lee Spitzer was named coordinator of men's lacrosse officials for the NCAC.

September, 2017 – Wooster senior Patrick Mohorcic was one of 22 football players nationwide to be named to the 2017 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Allstate Good Works Team® … Kenyon graduate Ellie Crawford was named as one of the nine finalist for the 2017 NCAA Woman of the Year Award

October, 2017 – Allegheny announced the addition of field hockey and men's lacrosse to the school's varsity athletic offerings in 2019-20 ... For the first time in program history, DePauw captured the NCAC Men's Cross Country title after accumulating 40 total points beating out Allegheny (59 points), which leads the NCAC with 13 total men’s titles.

November, 2017 – Oberlin junior women's cross country runner Linnea Halsten was named the Great Lakes Region Women's Athlete of the Year after winning the regional title at Liberty Park in Powell, Ohio, with a 6k time of 21:37.3, while Kori Stoffregen, in his 22nd year at the helm of the DePauw cross country program, was named the Great Lakes Region Men's Coach of the Year after leading the Tigers to a runner-up finish at the Great Lakes Regional ... Wittenberg junior setter Karen Wildemann, a Biology and Finance major with a 4.0 GPA, was the recipient of the Elite 90 award for the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship. The Wittenberg volleyball team capped off the 2017 season as the national runner-up after dropping a 3-0 decision to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the National Championship Match in Grand Rapids, Michigan ... Kenyon senior midfielder Shannon Hart was named as the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Great Lakes Region Player of the Year after helping the Ladies post a 15-4 record.

December, 2017 – Wooster senior Patrick Mohorcic was voted by college football fans as the 2017 Allstate American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Good Works Team® captain for his exceptional community service accomplishments and dedication to giving back to those in need ... Kenyon Director of Athletics Peter Smith announced his retirement from the position after 15 years at the helm of the athletic department.

January, 2018 – Wooster senior football player Patrick Mohorcic was named as one of four finalists in the collegiate division for the 14th Annual Coach Wooden Citizenship Cup.

February, 2018 – Oberlin women’s basketball earned it's first NCAC tournament title after topping Wittenberg by a 71-39 margin in the championship game, hosted by DePauw. As tournament champions, the Yeowomen also earned the NCAC’s automatic bid into the NCAA Div. III Women’s Basketball Tournament, handing the Yeowomen their first ever trip to the NCAA Tournament.

March, 2018 – Oberlin College Associate Vice President for Athletics Advancement and Delta Lodge Director of Athletics & Physical Education, Natalie Winkelfoos, was one of four athletic directors selected as a 2017-18 Division III Under Armour AD of the Year by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) ... Ohio Wesleyan senior Nate Axelrod received the Jostens Trophy as the nation's most outstanding NCAA Division III men's basketball player and was also named NCAA Division III Men's Basketball National Player of the Year as part of the D3hoops.com All-America team. Axelrod was also named the Great Lakes Region Player of the Year by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and D3hoops.com, while Wittenberg head coach Matt Croci was named the Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year by both organizations ... Ohio Wesleyan’s Nate Newman garnered United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III Great Lakes Region Men’s Field Athlete of the Year. Newman won both the heptathlon and high jump at the NCAC Indoor Championship, while also placing second in the long jump, fourth in the pole vault and seventh in the triple jump. Oberlin senior thrower Monique Newton along with Yeowomen coaches Ray Appenheimer and John Hepp earned regional recognition on the women's side. For the second-straight season, Newton garnered Great Lakes Region Field Athlete of the Year honors, while Appenheimer was tabbed Great Lakes Region Women's Head Coach of the Year and Hepp claimed the Women's Assistant Coach of the Year honor in the Great Lakes region ... Ohio Wesleyan sophomore Cirrus Robinson led the NCAC at the 2018 Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships by capturing the national title in the high jump with a final mark of 5’08.50”. Robinson’s national championship is the third by an Ohio Wesleyan woman, following her 2017 title and Julie Bredenbeck’s national title in the discus (1982) ... Denison men’s swimming & diving team captured their fourth national title after accumulating 596.5 points at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind. Kenyon’s men finished third in the overall standings with 322 points. In the women’s standings, Kenyon was second to Emory, while Denison was fourth overall. Following the four-day competition, the NCAC captured 10 national titles, logged 83 top-8 All-American performances and posted 52 additional Honorable-Mention All-American efforts. In addition, Kenyon freshman Crile Hart was named 2018 Division III Women’s National Swimmer of the Year after winning three individual titles, swimming a leg on one winning relay and setting individual national records in the 200 IM (1:58.86) and 200 back (1:55.67). Denison head coach Gregg Parini was also named the national Men’s Coach of the Year after guiding the Big Red to their fourth national title since 2011 ... Former Wittenberg head men’s basketball coach Bill Brown became the 10th Wittenberg player or coach – in addition to the men’s teams of 1961 and 1977 – to be inducted into the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame, which was formed in 2006.

April, 2018 – Denison Associate Professor of Health, Exercise, and Sports Studies and Director of Sports Medicine Brian Hortz was inducted into the Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association Hall of Fame after nearly three decades of outstanding work in the fields of health, exercise and physical therapy … Kenyon freshman Crile Hart was named the Division III Honda Athlete of the Year nominee for swimming and diving.

May, 2018 – Ohio Wesleyan topped NCAC rival Denison, 11-10, to earn a berth in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Tournament. Cole Jamieson’s unassisted tally with 7:25 left in regulation gave the Bishops the lead for good. Ohio Wesleyan senior Peter Hamblett was named the USILA Division III Specialty Player of the Year ... The Wabash team of William Reifeis and Patrick McAuley reached the semifinal round of the 2018 NCAA Division III Men’s Doubles Championship Tournament, falling to eventual national champions Lubomir Cuba and Kyle Schlager of Middlebury … Kenyon senior Diana Aboubakare was tabbed ITA Central Region Senior Player of the Year, while Kenyon assistant coach Alvin Cheng garnered Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year honors. Oberlin senior Sarah Hughes was named the ITA's Most Improved Senior in the nation ... Oberlin senior thrower Monique Newton, a two-time national champion, was named NCAA Division III Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Three NCAC athletes captured individual national titles at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships. Oberlin’s Newton and Lilah Drafts-Johnson captured gold in the discus and 400 hurdles, respectively. Newton had a school-record heave of 164’06.00”, while Drafts-Johnson logged a school-record time of 59.34. Ohio Wesleyan’s Cirrus Robinson became a three-time national champion in the high jump after winning the 2018 outdoor title with a final mark of 5’08.00” … For the first time since 1999, the NCAC was represented by three teams in the NCAA Div. III Baseball Tournament, including Denison, Wabash and Wooster. The Fighting Scots e arned a trip to the NCAA Division III Baseball Championships after capturing their sixth regional title, first since 2009. Wooster junior shortstop Michael Wielansky was named the Position Player of the Year in the Mideast Region by both the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and D3baseball.com ... The DePauw women’s golf team finished tied for 10th at the NCAA Division III Championships with a four-round score of 1,312 strokes. Junior Rachele Miller led the Tigers with a fifth-place showing that earned her All-American honors. Miller fired a four-day total of 310, seven strokes behind individual champion Margaret Loncki of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps … Wittenberg men’s golf took eighth at the NCAA Division III Championship with a final team score of 1,183 strokes. Sophomore Ryan Mallette closed out the four-round event with a one-over par, 289 that landed him in a tie for seventh place … Denison earned its league-leading 16th NCAC All-Sports Championship with 165 total points, and an 11-point victory in the final standings over both DePauw and Ohio Wesleyan... The NCAC hosted its second Women's Coaching Symposium at Oberlin College, which provided high-quality programming and professional development for female assistant and head coaches from around the conference ... Denison Assistant A.D. for Communications Craig Hicks was the recipient of the 2018 Spring Division III and D3SIDA Recognition Award.  

June, 2018 – Kenyon senior swimmer Julia Wilson was named the 2017-18 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/Google Cloud Division III Women's At-Large All-American of the Year ... Wooster junior shortstop Michael Wielansky was named the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Division III Position Player of the Year ...  Denison’s Jason Wesseling was the recipient of the 2018 NCAC Don Hunsinger Award and Kenyon’s Julia Wilson was the winner of the 2018 NCAC Pam Smith Award ... Ohio Wesleyan senior midfielder Peter Hamblett was named IMLCA West Region Defensive Player of the Year, while Denison sophomore Peter Pitroff claimed Offensive Player of the Year honors and the Ohio Wesleyan coaching staff, head coach Mike Plantholt and assistants Mike DeliaScott Singer, and Rodney Tapp, were named the West Region Coaching Staff of the Year ... A record total of 748 student-athletes were named to the 2017-18 NCAC Academic Honor Roll ... Denison's Lynn Schweizer, senior associate director of athletics emeritus, was honored with the National Association of Division III Athletic Administrators (NADIIIAA) Richard A. Rasmussen Lifetime Achievement Award.
