2025 All-NCAC Men's Tennis Team
Denison junior Ethan Green (Salt Lake City, UT/Skyline) was named the Player of the Year, while he and classmate Kael Shah (Nairobi, Kenya/ES American School Barcelona (Spain)) collected their second-consecutive Doubles Team of the Year honor to highlight the 2025 All-NCAC men's tennis team.
Green checked in with a 14-3 dual record this season, including a 9-3 mark from the top flight, a 3-0 record at No. 2 and a 2-0 mark in the No. 3 flight. He is the fifth-consecutive and 14th overall Big Red player to be named NCAC Player of the Year. He has now earned two-consecutive All-NCAC first-team certificates after collecting a third-team nod in 2023. The junior recorded a 7-0 record against conference opponents this season after producing a 5-0 mark at the top flight and a 2-0 record at No. 2. Green is ranked fourth in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national rankings.
Green and Shah posted a 16-3 doubles record all from the top flight this season, en route to their second-straight NCAC Doubles Team of the Year honor. This is the fifth overall doubles team honor for the Big Red. The pair went a perfect 4-0 against conference opponents and owns the top spot in the ITA's national rankings. Shah joins Green as an All-NCAC first-team selection for his singles play at the top three flights after posting an 18-4 mark in dual matches. He owns the No. 3 spot in the latest ITA national rankings.
Denison junior Jake Patterson (Bridgeville, PA/South Fayette) and Kenyon junior Paulo Pocasangre Kreling (Guacimo, Costa Rica/Interamerican High School CATI) join Green and Shah as the only repeat selections to the singles first team from a season ago. Patterson now owns three first-team All-NCAC certificates, while Pocasangre Kreling was named to the second team in 2023. DePauw junior Finley Buelte (Rockford, IL/Rockford Christian) and Kenyon sophomore Alejandro Gonzalez (Monterrey, MX/Citizens) elevate to the top team after second-team honors in 2024, while Buelte also received a second-team nod in 2023.
In doubles, Green and Shah are joined on the first team by Kenyon's Gonzalez and Pocasangre Kreling and DePauw's Buelte and first-year Will Cramer (Zionsville, IN/Zionsville). The Owl duo played to an 11-7 record this season at the top flight, while the Tigers' tandem earned a 16-4 record from the No. 1 flight this season.
Denison first-year Nick Meyers (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore), who earned All-NCAC second-team honors, was named the NCAC Newcomer of the Year. Meyers tallied a 16-3 dual singles record, after posting a perfect 4-0 mark in the No. 3 flight, a 10-2 record at No. 4 and a 2-1 mark at No. 5. He is the 10th Big Red player to be named NCAC Newcomer of the Year and first since 2023 when Patterson collected the honor. The rookie went 4-1 against conference foes in the regular season. Meyers and junior teammate Andreas Chapides (Limassol, Cyprus/ES International School) earned All-NCAC third-team doubles honors after posting an 8-4 dual match record all at the No. 3 flight, to go along with a 3-0 mark in conference action.
Finally, Kenyon's coaching staff claimed the 2025 Coaching Staff of the Year honor. Head coach Andrew Carlson led the Owls to a near-perfect 6-1 mark in NCAC play and an 18-5 overall record so far this season. Under strong leadership, the Owls soared up the national rankings this season, climbing from No. 20 in the preseason to an impressive No. 7 in the spring, the program's first top-10 national ranking since 2015. Highlighting their rise, the Owls have notched six victories over ITA-ranked opponents so far this year. After finishing second in the regular season standings and as the 2025 NCAC Tournament runner-up, Kenyon earned an at-large bid into the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
