December 9th

Erin Ross, Ohio Wesleyan
(Middlefield, OH/Ross)

Ohio Wesleyan junior Erin Ross was part of two top-five finishes at the Wittenber Tiger Opener on Friday. She anchored the 4x400 relay that won with a time of 4:20.07, the fastest NCAC time so far this season and finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.74). Ross's 60-meter hurdles time also ranks as the third-fastest conference time this season.
 

 
Lauren Welker, Wittenberg
(Luckey, OH/Eastwood)


Wittenberg sophomore Lauren Welker won the women's 800-meter run on Friday at the Tiger Opener. Welker beat out six other competitors with a time of 2:27.64, the fastest time among conference runners this season. 



 

 
Alexis Johnson, Wittenberg
(Southfield, MI/The Roeper School)


Wittenberg junior Alexis Johnson took the top spot in the women's long jump at the Tiger Opener, setting a new school record with a jump of 5.68 meters. Johnson set another school record on her way to her second first-place finish of the night with a jump of 11.35 meters in the triple jump. Both marks are the best among conference athletes this season.

Clare Tiedemann, Oberlin
(New York, NY/Grace Church School)


Oberlin sophomore Clare Tiedemann had three personal-best performances at the Tiffin Alumni Open, posting the fifth-best conference mark in the long jump (4.94m), while also recording the fourth-best time in the NCAC in the 200 meters at 28.11. She also took a crack at the shot put on this day, posting a mark of 6.62 meters.

  

 
Sarah Voit, Oberlin
(Cincinnati, OH/McCauley)


Former outdoor All-American Sarah Voit made her first appearance of the season and picked up right where she left off, besting her own school record at the Tiffin Alumni Open in the pole vault with a mark of 3.79 meters, which currently ranks third in the nation. The sophomore's previous-best indoor clearance was 3.70 meters.

January 13th


Grace Hayes, Oberlin
(Sagamore Hills, OH/Trinity)

Oberlin sophomore Grace Hayes notched the fourth-best 60-meter dash conference mark this season at the Dan Kinsey Invitational. The sophomore clocked in a second-place finish of 8.37 seconds.


 

 
Oona Jung-Beeman, Oberlin
(Wilmette, IL/New Trier)

Oberlin's Oona Jung-Beeman made her first appearance of the indoor season at the Dan Kinsey Invitational. The senior cruised to a five-second victory in the 800-meter run, clocking in at 2:21.56, the eighth-best mark in Division III this season.

 

 
Naeisha McClain, Oberlin
(Columbus, GA/Brookstone)


Senior Naeisha McClain headlined the Yeowomen effort at Oberlin's own Dan Kinsey Invitational with a pair of convincing victories in the shot put and weight throw. McClain moved into 10th in the country in the shot put with a winning heave of 43-06 (13.26m).  The senior's toss of 50-05.25 (15.37m) in the weight throw also ranks 20th in the country.

January 20th


Korri Palmer, Wooster
(Marietta, GA/North Cobb)

Wooster senior Korri Palmer was a double winner at Saturday's Wooster Tri-Meet. Palmer led 10 competitors in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.66 and she led off the Scots' winning 4x200 relay that crossed at 1:54.62.

 

 

Lucia Rathbun, Oberlin
(Seattle, WA/Northwest)

Oberlin junior Lucia Rathbun bested a 19-person field in the 800 meters with the second-fastest time in the NCAC this season as she clocked in a winning time of 2:29.19. Rathbun also ran the third leg in the 4x400 as she partnered with Christine ImparaMaggie Allen and Oona Jung-Beeman to post the second-best time in the NCAC this season at 4:28.84.

 
Cirrus Robinson, Ohio Wesleyan
(Ashland, OH/Ashland)


Ohio Wesleyan senior Cirrus Robinson captured two wins this past weekend. She won the women's high jump with a 1.65-meter leap and helped the distance medley relay team to a victory (5:57.23) as the Battling Bishops won the team title at the Ron Althoff Relays.



 

January 27th


Alexis Walker, Wittenberg
(Pickerington, OH/Pickerington North)

Wittenberg's Alexis Walker notched two of the NCAC's top marks this season at the NCAC/OAC/HCAC Challenge. The sophomore set a Steemer Center record in the 200-meter dash, posting a time of 25.76 seconds. She also took third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.99 seconds.

 
Mica Hanish, Allegheny
(Baden, PA/Ambridge)

Allegheny junior Mica Hanish finished first out of 23 competitors in the 3,000-meter run at Wooster's Fighting Scots Invitational. Hanish broke the tape in 10:10.93, the top time among conference athletes and ninth-best among all Division III athletes this season.
 

 

Naeisha McClain, Oberlin
(Columbus, GA/Brookstone)


Oberlin's Naeisha McClain moved into sixth in the nation in the shot put with a winning throw of 13.75 meters at the Fighting Scots Invitational. She also took second in the weight throw, posting a throw of 15.29 meters.


 

February 3rd


Courtney Owens, Ohio Wesleyan
(Gahanna, OH/Lincoln)

Ohio Wesleyan junior Courtney Owens won the 55-meter hurdles (8.59) at the Dr. Taraschke Team Challenge. Her converted hurdles time of 9.24 seconds ranks second among conference athletes. She also finished fifth in the 200-meter dash (27.25), a time that also ranks second among conference athletes.
 

 
Alexis Gray, Wittenberg
(Washington Court House, OH/Washington Court House)

Wittenberg junior Alexis Gray posted a winning time of 2:12.69 in the 800-meter run at the Joe Banks Invitational over the weekend. Gray's time not only was the fastest conference time of the season, but was tops among all Division III athletes this year.

 

Alexis Johnson, Wittenberg
(Southfield, MI/The Roeper School)


Wittenberg junior Alexis Johnson posted a winning leap of 5.81 meters in the women's long jump at the Joe Banks Invitational. Johnson's mark broke her own school record and was the best among all Division III athletes so far this season.



 

February 10th


Maya Vasta, Wooster 
(Forest Park, GA/Forest Park)

Wooster sophomore Maya Vasta was one of the Fighting Scots' top performers at Saturday's Bob Shannon Invitational. She beat out 25 other competitors to win the 200-meter dash at 27.22 seconds. She was also the runner-up in the 400 meters at 1:02.36. Both times are currently within the top three in the NCAC.

 
Isabelle Hoover, Wooster
(Millersport, OH/Fairfield Union)

Wooster sophomore Isabelle Hoover cruised to a first-place finish in the 5,000 meters at Saturday's Bob Shannon Invitational. Hoover's winning time of 18:33.92 was nearly 26 seconds faster than the runner-up time. It's currently the top time in the NCAC.
 

 

Aislinn Cannistraro, Oberlin
(Sommerville, MA/Sommerville)


Oberlin first-year Aislinn Cannistraro moved into third among conference athletes and 29th in the nation in the high jump with a winning clearance of 1.63 meters to best a five-person field at Oberlin's BSN Invite.


 

February 17th

 
Mica Hanish, Allegheny
(Baden, PA/Ambridge)

Allegheny junior Mica Hanish won the 3,000-meter run at Grand Valley State's Mig Meet over the weekend. She clocked in at 9:59.18, which converts to 10:04.34 for ranking purposes, ranking tops in the NCAC and 21st in NCAA Division III.

 

Malaika Djungu-Sungu, Oberlin
(Arlington, TX/Arlington)


Oberlin sophomore Malaika Djungu-Sungu moved into 23rd in the nation and first in the NCAC after she bested a 15-person field at the All-Ohio Championships in the triple jump with a lifetime-best mark of 11.38 meters.

February 24th



Ryelee Clary, Wittenberg
(Bellefontaine, OH/Bellefontaine)

Wittenberg junior Ryelee Clary finished fourth at the Wittenberg Steemer Showcase in the 60-meter hurdles with a conference-leading mark of 9.08 seconds. 



 

 

Phoebe von Conta, Oberlin
(Harvard, MA/Parker Charter)

Oberlin sophomore Phoebe von Conta won the 3,000 meter-run at the Raider Tune-Up this past weekend for the No. 30-ranked Yeowomen with a personal record time of 10:52.33 to move up to sixth in the conference. Von Conta bested the 21-runner field that included competitors from regionally ranked Mount Union, Baldwin Wallace and Carnegie Mellon.

 
Courtney Owens, Ohio Wesleyan
(Gahanna, OH/Lincoln)


Ohio Wesleyan junior Courtney Owens won the pentathlon with 3,388 points at the NCAC Indoor Combined Events Championships. Owens claimed the pentathlon victory after placing first in the 60-meter hurdles (9.29), the long jump (5.27m) and tying for first in the high jump (1.56m). She also recorded a third-place finish in the 800-meter run (2:30.12) and was fourth in the shot put (9.92m).
