Ryan Dougherty, Allegheny

Allegheny sophomore outfielder Ryan Dougherty collected five RBI in an 11-9 victory at Brevard on Sunday. The sophomore went 3-for-5 from the dish, including a double, a stolen base and a run scored. He was also a perfect 6-for-6 in the fielding chances.

 
Bobby Kusinsky, Allegheny
(Harrison City, PA/Penn-Trafford)


Allegheny junior pitcher Bobby Kusinsky picked up a win in five innings of relief pitching as the Gators won at Brevard, 11-9, on Sunday. The junior allowed five hits, three runs (one earned) while striking out four and walking just one batter.
February 21st
Brian May, DePauw
(River Forest, IL/Oak Park-River Forest)


DePauw senior Brian May batted .692 (9-of-13) to help the Tigers open the season with a 2-1 record. In 14 plate appearances, May doubled four times, walked once, scored four runs and collected seven RBI. The senior also swiped two bases across the three games.
Michael Vallone, DePauw
(Lake Forest, IL/Lake Forest)


DePauw sophomore pitcher Michael Vallone helped the Tigers get a victory against Wilmington on Sunday. The southpaw threw five innings, allowing just two hits and no runs, while walking two and striking out nine batters.

Gabe Stacy, Wittenberg
(Mainville, OH/Kings)


Wittenberg senior Gabe Stacy helped the Tigers to a pair of season-opening victories against John Carroll over the weekend. In the doubleheader, Stacy went 6-for-8 (.750) from the plate, including three doubles, one triple, one home run and three walks. The outfielder also batted in four runners and scored three times himself.
Austin Luther, Wittenberg
(Hughesville, MD/St. Mary's Ryken)


Wittenberg sophomore Austin Luther picked up a victory over John Carroll. Luther pitched six innings, allowing just two hits and no runs while striking out eight batters.

Dylan Hunter, Denison
(Bethusda, MD/St. John's)


Denison senior Dylan Hunter helped the Big Red pick up three season-opening victories last week. His top performance came against No. 4-ranked Adrian where he went 4-for-6 (.667) from the plate, belting a home run and double, while knocking in five runs and scoring four times. On the week, Hunter scored eight runs, collected six RBI and was a perfect 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts.



 
Michael Vallone, DePauw
(Lake Forest, IL/Lake Forest)


DePauw sophomore Michael Vallone helped hand Hendrix (13-1) its first loss of the season after pitching five innings in a start for the Tigers. The sophomore gave up just five hits and one unearned run while walking one and striking out four batters.

Kamden Earley, Wabash
(Pendleton, IN/Pendleton Heights)


Wabash sophomore Kamden Earley hit for a .444 average while driving in 10 runs to help the Little Giants go 4-1 on the week. Earley collected 12 hits, including two doubles and three triples for a slugging percentage of .741. He tied the Wabash single-game record with two triples in a victory over Northland. The sophomore also drove in the winning run after an extra-innings walk-off single in a 7-6 victory against Wheaton (IL).



 
Mitchell Reardon, Wooster
(Liberty Township, OH/Lakota East)


Wooster senior Mitchell Reardon picked up a pitching victory in a start against Sewanee on Saturday. The senior pitched six scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, walking one and striking out 10 batters. Reardon carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning.

Tyson Bryant-Dawson, Allegheny
(Oakland, CA/Marvel (TX))


Allegheny freshman Tyson Bryant-Dawson went 8-for-12 (.667) across three wins for the Gators last week. In all three games, Bryant-Dawson produced multi-hit performances, including two doubles and a home run, while scoring five runs and collecting six RBI. The Rookie also went a 3-for-3 in stolen bases on the week.


 





 
Dylan Scheid, Wabash
(Indianapolis, IN/Lawrence North)


Wabash senior Dylan Scheid threw a complete-game shutout on Sunday in the Little Giant's 3-0 victory over Hanover. He struck out 13 batters over nine innings to tie for the second-most strikeouts in a single game for Wabash. Scheid limited the Panthers to three hits and two walks over nine innings. The senior did not allow a Hanover base runner to advance any farther than second base.

Kamden Earley, Wabash
(Pendleton, IN/Pendleton Heights)


Wabash sophomore Kamden Earley hit for a .733 average (11-for-15) and an .867 slugging percentage across three victories to help the Little Giants improve to 12-2 on the season. The sophomore drove in six runs with a five-hit effort at Earlham on Wednesday to tie for the fifth-most RBI in a single game in program history. His five hits also tied for the most in a single game by a Little Giant player, making him the 11th player in school history to accomplish the feat. Earley added three hits in each game of Sunday's doubleheader against Illinois Wesleyan, driving in two runs in the Little Giants' comeback win in the series finale. On the week, Earley scored four runs, collected eight RBI and was a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen bases.








 
Corey Knauf, Wooster
(Vienna, VA/Bishop O'Connell)


Wooster sophomore Corey Knauf recorded the program's first 15-strikeout game since 1944 during Friday's win over Williams at Chain O' Lakes Stadium in Winter Haven, FL. Knauf's 15 strikeouts are the third-most in program history and the most since Stan Partenheimer's program record 19 in 1944. Knauf struck out the side in the first and second innings, and had seven strikeouts through two innings, and 10 through three. He added two strikeouts in both the fifth and sixth innings and logged No. 15 for the final out of the game.

Jack Siefert, Wittenberg
(Highland Heights, OH/St. Ignatius)


Wittenberg senior Jack Siefert collected nine hits across 20 at-bats (.450) as the Tigers went 4-1 on the week, including a win against No. 21-ranked Denison. Of Siefert's nine hits, five went for extra bases, including three doubles and two home runs. The senior also scored six runs and collected 12 RBI for the Tigers on the week.


 






 
Frank Lynch, Kenyon
(Chicago, IL/Notre Dame College Prep)


Kenyon freshman Frank Lynch made two appearances in the Lord's 5-0 week. He started in a 6-3 win over Bluffton, pitching 2.1 innings and allowing just one run on one hit, while also striking out two batters. He then got the start in a 5-0 win over Hiram, throwing 6.1 innings, striking out seven and holding Hiram scoreless on five hits and a walk. For the week, Lynch covered 8.2 innings, allowing just one earned run on six hits and a walk, while striking out nine and holding opponents to a .188 batting average.

Luke Meister, Kenyon
(Oak Park, IL/Oak Park & River Forest)


Kenyon sophomore Luke Meister helped the Lords rack up four conference wins last week, sweeping doubleheaders against Ohio Wesleyan and Wabash. Over the course of those four games, Meister posted a .467 batting average (7-for-15), including a triple and a home run, while scoring seven runs and collecting five RBI. The sophomore also walked twice and was hit by two pitches for a .579 on-base percentage.




 
Austin Luther, Wittenberg
(Hughesville, MD/St. Mary's Ryken)


Wittenberg sophomore Austin Luther pitched a complete game shutout against Hiram on Sunday. The right-hander threw nine innings, allowing only three hits and two walks while striking out seven batters.

Dean Brown, Wooster
(Kensington, MD/St. Andrew's Episcopal School)


Wooster junior Dean Brown logged multiple hits in each of the Fighting Scots' three wins last week. The third baseman began the week going 2-for-3 at the plate with a two-run home run against Case Western Reserve, followed by 2-for-3 and 3-for-5 performances with an RBI in each game of a doubleheader with Wabash. On the week, Brown produced a .636 average (7-for-11) and .714 on-base percentage.



 
Kenny Lippman, Denison
(McLean, VA/Langly)


Denison senior Kenny Lippman struck out 10 Hiram batters during his six innings of work, while allowing only three hits en route to a combined shutout victory for the Big Red. Lippman has now pitched six innings allowing three hits and no walks with at least seven strikeouts in each of his last two games.

Daniel Spencer, Denison
(Northbrook, IL/Glenbrook North)


Denison senior Daniel Spencer hit .889 (8-for-9) on the week with a .923 on-base percentage and a 1.222 slugging percentage. The senior finished a 3-0 week for the Big Red with eight hits, seven RBI, five runs scored, four walks and three doubles. Spencer went 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs scored and two walks at Kenyon on Wednesday; before going 3-for-3 with four RBI in game one against Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday and then producing a 3-for-4 performance with two runs scored in game two against the Battling Bishops.





 
Jack Conley, Hiram
(Sheffield Village, OH/St. Edward)


Hiram freshman Jack Conley pitched seven scoreless innings in a 2-0 victory against Allegheny. The first-year only allowed three hits and a walk against the Gators, while also fanning seven batters. Conley then pitched 1.1 innings against Muskingum, striking out all four batters he faced.



 
May 2nd



 
Kyle Callahan, DePauw
(Zionsville, IN/Zionsville)


DePauw senior Kyle Callahan helped contribute to a 4-0 week for the Tigers, which included wins against Rose-Hulman, Anderson and a doubleheader sweep of Ohio Wesleyan. Against the Ravens, Callahan finished just a double shy of the cycle, producing a 3-for-4 day, scoring twice and collecting six RBI in the process. On the week, Callahan finished 7-for-15 at the plate (.467), while scoring eight runs, tallying nine RBI and clubbing his league-leading ninth and 10th home runs of the season.




 
Alex Gow, Kenyon
(Kentfield, CA/Marin Academy)


Kenyon senior Alex Gow turned in a strong performance on the mound against Oberlin. Gow went the distance in the Lords' win, striking out 11 while only giving up one earned run. After this weekend's performance, Gow has moved into fourth on the Kenyon all-time strikeouts leaderboard. The senior currently sits 20th nationally in strikeouts per nine innings with 13.27 and 10th in strikeouts (88).
May 9th



 
Tyler Chumita, Wooster
(Hilliard, OH/Hilliard Darby)


Wooster senior shortstop Tyler Chumita tallied a 13-RBI week for the Fighting Scots who went 4-2. Chumita capped his week with a 3-for-4 performance with five RBI and three runs scored in what turned into a must-win game over Kenyon to make the NCAC Tournament. The senior's RBI count climbed to 74, which is now the most in a season for a Wooster player since 1997. He had at least one RBI in all six games last week, while recording three mutli-RBI efforts.




 
Michael Vallone, DePauw
(Lake Forest, IL/Lake Forest)


DePauw sophomore Michael Vallone picked up his team-high ninth win of the season by allowing just four hits, one walk and one run in eight innings against Allegheny. The sophomore also struck out 12 batters in the game, eclipsing the DePauw single-season strikeout record of 80. Vallone now owns 88 strikeouts on the season, second-most in the NCAC.
