November 8th
Tyler Watson, Wabash

Wabash men's basketball senior Tyler Watson scored a game-high 27 points and grabbed a team-best nine rebounds in the Little Giants' season-opening 74-70 win at Centre on Saturday. Watson connected on 10-of-21 field goals and went 2-of-7 from three-point range. He also handed out a team-high five assists and generated two steals and one block in the game.

November 15th
Brian Roberts Jr., Allegheny

Allegheny junior Brian Roberts Jr. helped the Gators post back-to-back wins last week to open the 2021-22 season. On Tuesday, Roberts Jr. recorded 20 points, four rebounds and four assists in an 88-74 win at Fredonia, before registering 26 points, three rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block in an 85-77 victory against St. Vincent on Saturday.

November 22nd
Jamir Billings, Wooster

Wooster first-year Jamir Billings earned MVP honors at the Al Van Wie/Wooster Rotary Classic. The Fighting Scots' rookie averaged 14.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and 3.5 steals during a 2-0 week for Wooster. Billings, the first true freshman to start game one of his Wooster career since Eric Bulic in 2015, debuted with nine points, six assists, four rebounds, and three steals in Friday's 75-57 win over St. Vincent. On Saturday, Billings led Wooster to an 83-71 win over 2020 NCAA participant Ripon with a team-high 19 points, a game-high eight assists and four steals to go along with four rebounds. His 14 assists are tied for the third-most in the 27-year history of the Al Van Wie/Wooster Rotary Classic.

November 29th
Jack Davidson, Wabash

Wabash senior Jack Davidson scored a game-high 27 points to help the Little Giants to a 92-87 conference victory at Denison on Sunday. The senior guard shot 11-of-17 (64.7%) from the field, including 3-of-6 from three-point range and 2-of-2 from the free throw line. Davidson also handed out five assists, grabbed three rebounds, and blocked a shot in the victory.

December 6th

Allegheny senior Brian Roberts Jr. helped the Gators to a pair of conference victories against Hiram and Kenyon last week. On Wednesday against the Terriers, Roberts Jr. collected 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting (46.7%), to go along with six rebounds, six assists and two steals. On Saturday, the senior posted a career-high 43 points on 11-of-27 shooting (40.7%), while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing three assists against the Lords.

December 13th
Brandon Styers, Wooster

Wooster senior Brandon Styers helped the Fighting Scots to a pair of conference victories over Hiram and Allegheny last week. On Saturday against the Terriers, Styers produced a season-high 24 points on 8-of-13 shooting (61.5%), including 4-of-6 from long range (66.7%), to go along with three rebounds and two steals. On the week, the senior averaged 21.5 points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal for the Fighting Scots.

December 20th

Wabash senior Tyler Watson became the 29th player in Little Giant basketball history to score 1,000 career points when he tallied 16 points in Sunday's 96-88 victory at Mount St. Joseph. Watson was one of four Wabash players to grab five rebounds and led the team with six assists while also contributing three steals.

January 3rd
Jack Davidson, Wabash

Wabash senior Jack Davidson averaged 29 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in a pair of Little Giant victories over the holiday period. He scored 33 points and snared seven boards with six assists in a 96-84 win against Anderson on Dec. 21. The senior guard followed with 25 points and matched a career-high with 13 rebounds to help Wabash defeat Oberlin 75-74 on Dec. 30. Davidson also handed out four assists against the Yeomen.

January 10th
Henry Hinkle, Ohio Wesleyan
(Powell, OH/Olentangy Liberty)

 

Ohio Wesleyan freshman Henry Hinkle helped the Battling Bishops to a pair of conference victories last week against Hiram and Wooster. Down 81-80 against the Fighting Scots, Hinkle connected on a pair of go-ahead free throws with just four seconds left in regulation, sealing an 82-81 victory. He finished the game with 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting (58.3%), to go along with two rebounds and one assist. On the week, the freshman averaged 15.5 points, two rebounds and three assists for the Battling Bishops.

January 17th
Jamir Billings, Wooster
(Lorain, OH/Lorain)

 

Wooster first-year Jamir Billings averaged 16.0 points, 11.0 assists, 5.5 steals, and 5.0 rebounds per game during a 2-0 week for the Fighting Scots. Billings tied the 49-year-old program record with 12 assists during a 91-77 win over Kenyon on Wednesday. He added 10 more on Saturday in an 83-80 win against Wittenberg to become the first player in Wooster's storied basketball history with three games with at least 10 assists, and is the first player to have back-to-back games with at least 10. Additionally, Billings tied Wooster's single-game program record with seven steals against the Tigers. Billings logged double-doubles in both wins, scoring 17 points against Kenyon and 15 against Wittenberg.

January 24th

Allegheny men's basketball senior Brian Roberts, Jr. led the Gators to a pair of conference victories last week against Oberlin and Kenyon. On Wednesday against the Yeomen, the senior posted 30 points on 7-of-11 shooting (63.6%), including five rebounds, two assists and two steals. He also netted 30 points against the Lords, while collecting five rebounds, six assists and two steals in the game.

January 31st
Brodgie Gordon, Hiram

Hiram senior Brodgie Gordon helped propel the Terriers to three conference victories last week against Allegheny, Wooster and DePauw. On Friday, Gordon recorded 17 points, on 7-of-14 shooting (50.0%), to go along with six assists and four rebounds as the Terriers edged the previous conference-leading Fighting Scots, 83-81. On the week, the senior averaged 19 points, five rebounds and five assists per game.

February 7th
Landon Martin, Wittenberg
(Columbus, OH/Columbus Africentric)

 

Wittenberg senior Landon Martin helped lead the Tigers to a 3-0 week, including a 75-72 overtime victory on the road at Denison. The senior guard started the week with a season-high 24-point effort against the Big Red, while also adding five rebounds, two steals and an assist in the game. Martin then recorded back-to-back double-digit games against the Kenyon over the weekend, netting 12 points on Saturday and 16 points on Sunday. On the week, the senior averaged 17.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 1.0 steal per game.

February 14th
Tyler Watson, Wabash

Wabash senior Tyler Watson averaged 23 points and shot 55 percent from the field (16-of-29) to help the Little Giants clinch their first NCAC men's basketball title. Watson scored a season-high 30 points and made 10-of-15 shot attempts (66.7%) in Saturday's win at Wooster. The senior also handed out five assists and generated two steals and one blocked shot. Watson scored 16 points in Wednesday night's home win over Ohio Wesleyan, while also adding seven rebounds and handing out a game-high six assists.

February 21st
Scotty Dean, Denison

Denison freshman Scotty Dean scored 22 and 20 points, respectively, connecting on six three-pointers during each of the Big Red's final two games of the regular season. At Oberlin on Friday night, the freshman recorded his highest scoring output of the season with 22 points on 8-for-12 shooting (66.7%) from the field and 6-for-8 (75.0%) from three-point range. He also added four steals and a career-best eight rebounds against the Yeomen. On the week, Dean averaged 17 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.
