Ohio Wesleyan junior Kaden Buza helped propel the Battling Bishops to a conference win against Denison on Saturday. The signal caller completed 17-of-23 passes for 296 yards, to go along with five touchdowns. Buza became only the fourth Ohio Wesleyan quarterback to throw for five touchdowns in a game and the first to do so since 2015. |

Darryl Shands, Kenyon

Kenyon senior linebacker Darryl Shands stood out in the fourth quarter and helped preserve a 28-21 victory over Oberlin on Saturday. With the Owls trailing 21-20, Shands came up with a big quarterback sack that led to an Oberlin punt and gave the Kenyon offense the ball to produce the winning drive. On Oberlin's ensuing possession, in an attempt to re-gain the lead, Shands came up with an interception, giving the Owls the ball back with just 1:26 left on the clock. Overall, Shands recorded five tackles, two sacks and the game-sealing interception.
