2022 NCAC Men's Lacrosse Athletes of the Week

February 21st  



 
Ethan Stonis, Wabash
(Naperville, IL/Benet Academy)


Wabash junior Ethan Stonis scored six goals and tallied two assists in a pair of Wabash victories to open the 2022 men's lacrosse season. On Wednesday, he scored one goal, caused three turnovers, and scooped up two ground balls in the Little Giants' season-opening victory at Anderson. On Saturday, Stonis scored five goals, made two assists and picked up seven ground balls in a victory over Mount St. Joseph.

Ambrose Colliluori, Hiram
(Gilbertsville, PA/Pope John Paul II)


Hiram freshman Ambrose Colliluori helped the Terriers to a 10-8 win over Franciscan on Saturday. In his first career game, the rookie scored a hat trick and along with one assist for four points. Colliluori also picked up six ground balls and caused one turnover in the game.
March 7th
Henry Hasenberg, Ohio Wesleyan
(Los Angeles, CA/Loyola)


Ohio Wesleyan senior Henry Hasenberg scored the go-ahead goal with just 51 seconds remaining in an 11-10 victory over North Central. The senior tallied a team-high four goals and one assist, while adding two groundballs and causing two turnovers in the win.

Ambrose Colliluori, Hiram
(Gilbertsville, PA/Pope John Paul II)


Hiram freshman Ambrose Colliluori tallied four goals and five assists in a win against St. Joseph. The first-year added five ground balls and caused one turnover in the win.

Michael Muldoon, Oberlin
(Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood)


Oberlin Michael Muldoon played a big role in a pair of Yeomen wins last week. Muldoon dished out two assists to go along with two goals in a 7-5 come-from-behind victory at Otterbein, followed by a season-high three-goal, two-assist effort in Oberlin's win over Mount Union.

Camden Bowdy, Denison
(Dublin, OH/Dublin Coffman)


Denison senior Camden Bowdy recorded back-to-back hat tricks in the Big Red's 2-0 week. Bowdy began the week with three goals and an assist as No. 20-ranked Denison handed John Carroll its first loss of the season. Bowdy then tallied another three-goal performance at Wabash as the Big Red picked up their first conference win of the season.

Henry Hasenberg, Ohio Wesleyan

Ohio Wesleyan senior Henry Hasenberg (Los Angeles, CA/Loyola) helped the Battling Bishops to a conference victory over Wittenberg on Saturday. The senior tallied four goals and six assists, while also chipping in two groundballs and causing two turnovers.

Michael Muldoon, Oberlin
(Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood)


Oberlin senior Michael Muldoon helped leade the Yeomen to two victories last week. In a win at Sewanee, the senior netted four points on three goals and an assist. He then posted five points on three goals and two helpers in a conference win against Wabash. For the week, Muldoon posted six goals and three assists while adding two ground balls and one caused turnover.

 
April 18th
Davis Cronin, Denison
(South Boston, MA/Hebron Academy)


Denison sophomore Davis Cronin was a combined 31-for-40 on faceoffs (77.5%) while adding 19 ground balls during a 2-0 week for the Big Red who gave Oberlin and Ohio Wesleyan two programs their first losses in NCAC play this season.

Joe Bolea, Kenyon
(Grand Rapids, MI/East Grand Rapids)


Kenyon senior Joe Bolea was instrumental in the Lords' 8-7 win at Wooster on Wednesday. The senior scored two goals in the one-goal victory, including the game-winner with just 44 seconds left. Bolea also recorded two caused turnovers and a game-high seven groundballs against the Fighting Scots. On Saturday against Wabash, the defensive midfielder recorded a ground ball and a caused turnover while helping the Lords' defense hold the Little Giants to just one goal in the game.
May 2nd




 
Mayo Amorello, Kenyon
(Wenham, MA/Hamilton-Wenham)


Kenyon senior Mayo Amorello led the Lords to two key conference wins against Oberlin and Ohio Wesleyan. Amorello notched 16 saves against the Yeomen and then registered another double-digit saves effort against the Battling Bishops with 11. Over the course of both games, Amorello posted a .643 save percentage. The Lords' win against Ohio Wesleyan secured their highest seed for the conference tournament in program history and the first win over the Battling Bishops since 2012.
