2020 NCAC Softball Players of the Week

Cami Henry, DePauw
(Camby, IN/Mooresville)


DePauw sophomore Cami Henry pitched the Tigers to victory in a pair of games last week. She began the season by striking out 16 batters and allowing just one earned run in a 7-2 nine-inning win against No. 15-ranked Birmingham-Southern. She also tossed seven innings of four-hit, one-run ball in a 2-1 victory over Mt. St. Joseph. 


 
Becca St. Germain, DePauw
(Plainfield, IL/Plainfield South)


DePauw's Becca St. Germain helped the Tigers to a 4-0 start this season with wins over Birmingham Southern (W, 7-2), Covenant (W, 9-1), Emory & Henry (W, 3-2) and Mt. St. Joseph (W, 2-1). On the week, the junior produced a .636 batting average (7-of-11), while collecting three doubles, knocking in three runs and scoring once.

Sophia Gottdiener, Kenyon
(Tenafly, NJ/Tenafly)


Kenyon sophomore Sophia Gottdiener earned the win in relief for Kenyon during its game against Finlandia. In two innings pitched, she allowed just one hit, struck out a batter, and induced five combined groundouts and flyouts.


 



 
Sara Campagna, Kenyon
(Saint Charles, IL/Saint Charles East)


In two wins against Finlandia and Albion, Kenyon sophomore Sara Campagna collected a team-high six hits in eight at-bats and a team-high four RBI, while also scoring four runs. Campagna posted the best average (.750) and slugging percentage (.875) among the team as the Ladies defeated the Lions and the Britons. Defensively, she did not record an error in six chances.

Nicole Bishay, Kenyon
(Los Angeles, CA/Rolling Hills Prep)


Kenyon's Nicole Bishay went 3-0 in the circle last week for the Ladies, pitching two complete games and posting an ERA of just 1.17. The sophomore struck out 15 batters across 16 innings and allowed just 12 hits and three earned runs.

 


 
Sara Campagna, Kenyon
(Saint Charles, IL/Saint Charles East)


Kenyon's Sara Campagna helped the Ladies win  seven games  in Florida last week. The sophomore batted .486, collected a team-high 18 hits and 13 RBI, while not committing an error in 42 chances from her catcher position. Campagna leads the NCAC with 15 RBI and 22 hits so far this season.

Mary Britton, Wittenberg
(Springfield, OH/Clark-Shawnee)


Wittenberg's Mary Britton went 4-0 from the Sunshine State, tossing 29.1 innings, allowing just five earned runs for an ERA of 1.19. She also recorded 12 strikeouts and had three putouts and seven assists in the field.

 


 
Elise Freeland, Wittenberg
(Marysville, OH/Marysville)


Wittenberg junior Elise Freeland compiled a .438 batting average through nine games last week in Florida. The third baseman tallied 14 hits with three triples and five stolen bases from the leadoff spot for the Tigers. She also scored eight runs and had one RBI as Wittenberg went 6-3 on the week.
