Richie Kurlich, Denison

Denison sophomore Richie Kurlich qualified for the United States Olympic Trials at Denson's Long Course Meters Time Trials on Dec. 4. Kurlich qualified for the trials in the 200-meter breaststroke with a time of 2:16.47. The official qualifying time standard set by USA Swimming is 2:17.89. At the Denison Invitational, Kurlich won the 200-yard breaststroke with a pool record, NCAA "B" cut, and personal best time of 1:58.90. In the 100 breaststroke, Kurlich touched in 55.34 which was also a personal best. He rounded out his weekend with a "B" cut in the 200 IM in 1:51.29.

KT Kustritz, Denison

Denison senior KT Kustritz qualified for the United States Olympic Trials at Denison's Long Course Meters Time Trials on Dec. 4. Kustritz qualified for the trials in the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:09.64. The official qualifying time standard set by USA Swimming is 1:10.99. At the Denison Invitational, Kustritz logged victories and NCAA "B" cut times in the 100 breast (1:01.27), 200 breast (2:16.12), 200 IM (1:59.96) and the 200 free (1:31.69), 200 medley (1:40.61), and 400 medley (3:41.13) relays. Over the course of the three-day meet, Kustritz accounted for 70 points for the Big Red.
