November 8th
Madison Branch, Hiram
(Avon Lake, OH/Avon Lake)

 

Hiram women's basketball senior Madison Branch scored a career-high 34 points in the Terriers' Season opening 89-83 overtime win over Waynesburg. Branch scored six of Hiram's 10 points in the extra session, and finished the game with seven rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block.

November 15th
Gina Lombard, Oberlin
(Newton, MA/Beaver Country Day)

 

Oberlin sophomore Gina Lombard helped the Yeowomen to their first 2-0 start since the 2015-16 season, defeating Alma and Bluffton last week. In her collegiate debut, Lombard poured in 29 points, going 10-of-17 from the floor, which included a 5-of-9 showing from 3-point land in a tight 72-65 come-from-behind win over Alma. She followed with 15 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 55-47 road win at Bluffton.

November 22nd
Mya Shannon, DePauw
(Morris, IL/Morris)

 

DePauw senior Mya Shannon tallied a career-high 31 points, on 11-of-18 shooting, along with a game-high 11 rebounds in a 71-55 win over No. 22-ranked Millikin on Tuesday. She also posted a game-high 15 points, to go along with six rebounds and two steals in the Tigers' conference-opening victory against Kenyon on Sunday. For the week, Shannon averaged 23 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.

November 29th
Claudia Cooke, Kenyon
(Chesterfield, MO/Parkway Central)

 

Kenyon sophomore Claudia Cooke posted back-to-back double-doubles in two Ladies' victories last week. On Saturday, Cooke scored 18 points and grabbed a dozen rebounds as Kenyon defeated Muskingum 83-77. On Sunday in a win against Earlham, Cooke pumped in a team-high 19 points and 14 rebounds. In addition to her weekly totals of 37 points and 26 rebounds, Cooke had seven blocks, six assists and a pair of steals. She shot 68.0 percent (17-of-25) for the week.

December 6th
Cierra Joiner, Ohio Wesleyan
(Centerburg, OH/Centerburg)

 

Ohio Wesleyan senior Cierra Joiner helped boost the Battling Bishops to a pair of victories against Bluffton and Denison. On Wednesday against the Beavers, Joiner compiled 15 points on 7-of-14 shooting (50%), while also collecting nine rebounds, four assists and three steals. In Saturday's matchup against the Big Red, the senior issued 27 points on 10-of-20 shooting (50%), to go along with seven rebounds and four steals.

December 13th
Maeve Summerville, DePauw
(Lake Bluff, IL/Lake Forest)

 

DePauw senior Maeve Summerville helped the Tigers to a pair of NCAC victories over Wittenberg and Oberlin last week. Against previously undefeated Oberlin, Summerville produced a career-high 16 points, including a career-high four three-pointers made. She also collected seven rebounds and four blocks in the game. On the week, the senior averaged 14 points, eight rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game.

December 20th
Camille Zinaich, Oberlin
(Boonsboro, MD/Saint Maria Goretti)

 

Oberlin freshman Camille Zinaich spearheaded the Yeowomen's 57-40 victory on Wednesday over previously undefeated Chatham. Zinaich finished the game with 17 points, on 7-of-12 shooting (58.3%), while also grabbing 12 rebounds, dishing out seven assists and collecting two steals.

January 3rd
Cierra Joiner, Ohio Wesleyan
(Centerburg, OH/Centerburg)

 

Ohio Wesleyan senior Cierra Joiner helped the Battling Bishops to three victories over the holiday period, including two wins in OWU's Bishop Classic/Hoops for Hope tournament against Wilmington and Mount Union. Her three-game stretch was highlighted by a 20-point, eight-rebound performance in a 64-59 victory over Mount Union on Dec. 30. In total, she tallied 52 points (17.3 ppg), 21 rebounds (7.0 rpg), seven assists (2.3 apg) and three blocks (1.0 bpg) across the three games. She was also named to the Bishop Classic/Hoops for Hope all-tournament team. 

January 10th

Ohio Wesleyan senior Cierra Joiner helped the Battling Bishops to a conference victory over Hiram last week. The senior tallied 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting (70%), to go along with six rebounds, three assists, two steals and a blocked shot against the Terriers.

January 17th
Camille Zinaich, Oberlin
(Boonsboro, MD/Saint Maria Goretti)

 

Oberlin freshman Camille Zinaich helped the Yeowomen post a 3-0 conference record with wins against Hiram, Denison and Kenyon last week. In a victory over Hiram, she recorded a triple-double, tallying 18 points to go along with 11 boards, 10 assists and four steals. After scoring four points and two rebounds while battling foul trouble in a win against Denison, she bounced back with career-best performance in a 77-75 overtime win over Kenyon, posting another triple-double, 21 points, 16 rebounds and 13 assists. For the week, she averaged 14.3 points, 9.7 rebounds and 8.0 assists and is the only player in Division III to have two triple-doubles so far this season.

January 24th
Katie Orefice, Kenyon
(Weston, CT/Weston)

 

Kenyon junior Katie Orefice helped the Ladies to conference victories last week against Hiram and Allegheny. The junior began the week with a 21-point performance against the Terriers, while also chipping in six rebounds, collecting five steals and dishing out an assist. Against the Gators, she tallied another 21 points, while adding nine rebounds, three steals and two assists.

January 31st
Kasey Schipfer, Ohio Wesleyan
(Mechanicsburg, OH/Mechanicsburg)

 

Ohio Wesleyan sophomore Kasey Schipfer led the Battling Bishops to a pair of NCAC victories last week against Denison and Allegheny. Her week was highlighted by a career-high 27 points on 9-of 15 shooting (60.0%), to go along with eight rebounds, two steals and one assist against the Gators. For the week, Schipfer averaged 18.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.5 assists per game.

February 7th
Kristie Kalis, Wittenberg
(Wilmette, IL/New Trier)

 

Wittenberg senior Kristie Kalis broke the program's career scoring record of 1,297 points in a win against Allegheny on Friday, a record that had previously stood since 1998. The senior finished the game with eight points, 11 rebounds, four blocks and two assists. On Saturday, Kalis tallied a double-double, scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds, while adding three blocks and two assists in a win against Hiram.

February 14th
Campbell Mongomery, DePauw
(Chicago, IL/St. Ignatius College Prep)

 

DePauw senior Campbell Montgomery helped the Tigers clinch at least a share of their fifth-straight NCAC title with a pair of wins last week. On Saturday against Oberlin, Montgomery posted her first collegiate double-double, scoring 10 points while adding a career-high 11 rebounds. She matched those 11 rebounds on Sunday against Hiram, while also chipping in six points, one steal and one block.

February 21st
Bryanna Woodard, Oberlin
(Cincinnati, OH/Summit Country Day)

 

Oberlin freshman Bryana Woodard helped the Yeowomen finish the regular season with a 3-0 week to cap off their first 20-win regular season in program history. The first-year poured in 17 points in a win over Wooster and followed with 15 more in a victory at Allegheny. Woodard finished her week scoring eight points in a season-finale win over the Fighting Scots, playing in just 17 minutes of action. For the week, she averaged 13.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game while shooting 43.9 percent (18-41) from the floor.
