2021 NCAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week

March 15th
Grace Clarke, DePauw

DePauw senior Grace Clarke tied for a team-high five goals in a 15-14 road win over Carthage on Saturday. She also issued three assists and picked up seven groundballs in the Tigers first victory of the season. 

March 22nd
Charlotte Godfrey, Denison
(Denver, CO/Cherry Creek)


Denison senior Charlotte Godfrey led the Big Red defense against Wooster with five caused turnovers, seven ground balls and 10 draw controls. Denison defeated the Fighting Scots to improve to 2-0 on the season.

March 29th

DePauw senior Grace Clarke helped motor the Tigers to a pair of victories over Ohio Wesleyan last week. On Tuesday, Clarke registered five points on three goals and two assists, before posting eight points with five goals and three assists in their second meeting on Saturday. She finished the week with eight goals, five assists, two groundballs and two draw controls.
April 5th
Liza Farnham, Denison

Denison senior Liza Farnham led the Big Red with eight goals and two assists on just nine shots in a pair of wins over Ohio Wesleyan last week. Farnham tallied three goals and two assists in the win on Wednesday night at home, followed by five goals in Saturday's victory at Ohio Wesleyan.
April 12th
Alexa Mellis, Wooster

Wooster senior Alexa Mellis scored 12 goals during a 2-0 week for the Fighting Scots. During Saturday's "senior day" victory over Allegheny, Mellis tied Wooster's single-game program record with eight goals. It marked the sixth eight-goal game in program history and the first since alumna Ellie Hudson-Heck netted eight against Whitman in 2016. Mellis' eight goals are the most by an NCAC player this spring and it's the 12th-most goals in a NCAA Division III game in 2021.
April 19th
Katie Shideler, Wooster
(Gibsonia, PA/North Allegheny)


Wooster senior Katie Shideler made 27 saves during a pair of wins over Kenyon last week. Shideler turned aside 14 shots during a 15-11 victory on Wednesday before making 13 more saves in an 18-12 win on Saturday.
April 26th
Kyra Aviles, Oberlin
(Armonk, NY/The Ursuline School)


Oberlin senior Kyra Aviles was active in a pair of wins against Wittenberg and Ohio Wesleyan. Aviles had the offense in rhythm in the win over the Tigers, scoring twice to go along with four assists. Her giving ways continued in the win over the Battling Bishops as she had three helpers and scored once to cap off the 10-point week. The senior also tallied three ground balls, two draw controls and one caused turnover.
