2021 NCAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week

September 7th
 

Makayla Watkins, Ohio Wesleyan
(Brook Park, OH/Berea-Midpark)

Ohio Wesleyan freshman Makayla Watkins scored one game-winning goal and assisted on two other game-winners as OWU opened the season with three wins. In Saturday's 1-0 win against Marietta, Watkins tallied the lone goal in the game. She finished the week with three goals and two assists as the Battling Bishops started the season 3-0 for the first time since 2009.  

September 13th
 

Callie Davis, Denison
(Hampton, PA/Shady Side Academy)

Denison sophomore Callie Davis scored in both of Denison's matches last week while helping the Big Red improve to 4-0 as a team. Davis tallied the game-winning goal in the 81st minute in a 1-0 victory over Transylvania on Friday. The sophomore then scored the first goal of the game in the 22nd minute of a 3-2 victory against Calvin on Saturday. 

September 20th
 

Leah Anderson, Kenyon
(Peoria, IL/Peoria Notre Dame)

Kenyon junior Leah Anderson collected a pair of shutouts last week as the Ladies defeated John Carroll and Franklin by identical 1-0 scores. Anderson logged 184:08 minutes in goal, making nine stops along the way.

September 27th
 

Teddi Farson, Wooster
(Wadsworth, OH/Wadsworth)

Wooster junior Teddi Farson scored the game-winner in a 3-2 overtime win against Adrian and also scored a goal in a 4-0 win against Mount Union. Farson added an assist in the one-goal victory over the Bulldogs as well to finish the week with five points.

October 4th
 

Isabelle Smith, Oberlin
(St. Paul, MN/St. Paul Academy and Summit)

Oberlin senior goalie Isabelle Smith surpassed 200 career saves in a 1-0 victory over Ohio Wesleyan while posting her fourth shutout of the season. Smith's effort helped the Yeowomen beat the Battling Bishops for the first time since 2015 and give Oberlin its first 2-0 start in league play since 2014.

October 11th
 

Abby King, Denison
(Grosse Ile, MI/Western Reserve Academy)

Denison senior Abby King posted four points, helping the Big Red to two conference wins on the week. King assisted both of Denison's goals in a 2-1 victory over Ohio Wesleyan, and then scored a goal on Senior Day in which the Big Red defeated Kenyon, 3-0.

October 18th
 

Miura Wiley, Wooster
(Cheshire, CT/Cheshire Academy)

Wooster senior Miura Wiley tallied five goals and one assist in two NCAC wins last week. She recorded two goals and an assist in a win over Hiram and then finished the week with her first career hat trick in a win against Wittenberg.

October 25th
 

Patil Tcholakian, Denison
(Farmington Hills, MI/North Farmington)

Denison senior goalkeeper Patil Tcholakian recorded shutouts against Oberlin and Wittenberg last week, helping the Big Red improve to 6-0 in the NCAC. Tcholakian and the Big Red kept the Yeowomen off the scoreboard for 93 minutes which allowed a Denison goal in overtime to keep the Big Red unblemished in the conference standings. She then followed with an eight-save performance in a 1-0 victory over the Tigers.

November 1st
 

Amanda Flory, Wooster
(Spokane, WA/Freeman)

Wooster first-year goalkeeper Amanda Flory guided Wooster to a 2-0 record last week behind back-to-back shutouts. Flory made seven saves in a 1-0 double overtime win against Allegheny to record her first full collegiate shutout. She then tied a career-high nine saves in a 1-0 win over Denison. In total, she made 16 saves and spent a total of 192:41 in goal last week for the Fighting Scots.
