Wabash senior Liam Patton went 7-for-13 to hit .538 over three Little Giant victories to open the 2023 season. Patton drove in four runs and produced a .692 slugging percentage and 1.317 OPS over the three games. He collected his first RBI of the season with a double in the Little Giants' 5-1 win Friday over Augustana College (IL). The senior drove in two runs with a double to help Wabash to an 11-6 victory Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, Patton produced an RBI with one of his three singles in four at bats against Rhodes College. His single in the fifth inning brought Wabash back to within two runs of Rhodes, while he added another single in the eighth inning and came home to score the winning run in the Little Giants' 10-9 victory.

Caleb Everson, Wabash

Wabash freshman Caleb Everson earned his first collegiate victory with a five-inning relief appearance in the Little Giants' 5-1 win over Augustana College (IL) on Friday. The right-hander limited Augustana to two hits and one run, while striking out four batters.

Ari Fierer, Denison

Denison senior Ari Fierer hit .700 (7-for-10) during a 3-0 opening weekend for the No. 18 Big Red at the D3 College Showcase. Fierer finished the week with five RBI, four walks, three runs scored, two stolen bases, a double and a triple. The senior went 2-for-2 with a three-run triple and three walks during Denison's 6-5 season-opening win against Berry on Friday. On Saturday, he went 3-for-4 at the plate while pitching the final 1.1 innings of the game giving up no hits, no earned runs, two total runs, two walks and two strikeouts in an 8-3 win over Christopher Newport. To end the weekend, he hit 2-for-4 with one run, one RBI and one walk in a 10-7 win over Susquehanna.

Michael Osmond, Wittenberg

Wittenberg graduate student Michael Osmond picked up his first win of the 2023 campaign as the Tigers defeated Transylvania, 17-5, in the final game of the Baltimore Invitational. In five-innings, Osmond recorded 10 strikeouts, allowing just one hit, three walks and one earned run.

Danny Glimco, DePauw

DePauw junior Danny Glimco posted a 1.143 slugging percentage, as the Tigers went 2-1 in a three-game series with Manchester. Through three games, Glimco went 5-for-14 and collected eight RBI, six runs, three homeruns, and two doubles. The junior recorded two homers in game two, an 11-8 win, which resulted in four RBI. In game three, a 10-8 victory, he made a diving catch in center field in the top of the eighth to prevent an extra base hit. He pitched a 1-2-3 top of the ninth and then at the plate produced the walk-off homerun.

Denison senior Charlie Fleming improved to 2-0 on the mound after recording a win over No. 21-ranked North Central College on Saturday at the Derby City Classic. Fleming threw six innings, allowing just two hits and three walks while striking out five batters.

Drew Robinson, Kenyon

Kenyon junior Drew Robinson went 13-for-24 to hit .542 with a .750 slugging percentage in a 4-2 week for the Owls. Robinson recorded eight RBI, seven runs, three doubles, three stolen bases, one triple, and one walk on the week. His highlights included a four-RBI game in a 12-8 win against Elizabethtown before a 5-for-5 performance with three runs and two singles in a win over Thiel. The five-single outing tied for the second-most hits in a game in program history. The outfielder also had a perfect fielding percentage on the week, posting two assists, while throwing runners out at third and home for inning-ending plays to save runs.

Wabash freshman Caleb Everson earned a victory in two appearances without allowing an earned run for the Little Giants on their spring break trip to Florida last week. Everson pitched 8.2 innings overall, with an eight-inning start and win over Kean. The right-hander limited the Cougars to four hits, three walks and one unearned run, while striking out seven.

Edwin Groff, Kenyon

Kenyon sophomore Edwin Groff went 11-for-18 (.611) with an .833 slugging percentage in a perfect 4-0 week for the Owls. Groff recorded five RBI, five runs, two doubles and one triple on the week. The designated hitter started the week with a 3-for-5 effort, which included two RBI, two runs and one triple in a win over Lasell. He then went 6-for-8 in a doubleheader sweep of Mount St. Vincent, as he scored two runs, tallied one RBI and earned one double. To end the week in a win over Marywood, Groff tallied two hits, two RBI, one run, and one double.

Wooster first-year Devin Anthony fired eight innings of four-hit shutout baseball in his first collegiate start, as the Fighting Scots defeated Arcadia 5-1. Anthony struck out five batters, allowed zero walks, zero runs and did not allow a Knight to reach scoring position until the eighth inning.

Wittenberg senior Chase Whisner went 8-for-14 (.571), while slugging 1.000 and recording a .700 on-base percentage in a perfect 4-0 week for the Tigers. Whisner tallied 11 RBI, seven runs, five walks, three doubles, three stolen bases and one home run on the week. The senior hit 4-for-6 with five RBI, three scored runs, three stolen bases, two doubles and two walks in a doubleheader sweep of Waynesburg. He then went 4-for-8 in a two-game series with Albion, as he totaled six RBI, four scored runs, three walks, one home run and one double.

Oberlin junior Vince Dolcemaschio matched a career-high with seven strikeouts in a complete-game victory over Carleton on Thursday. Facing 26 batters, Dolcemaschio did not allow a single walk and scattered four hits in his seven innings of work. The righthander's outing was highlighted by an immaculate inning as he struck out the side in the fifth on just nine pitches.

Denison sophomore Eric Colaco hit .600 (6-for-10) with a .733 on base percentage and a .900 slugging percentage during a 3-0 week for the Big Red. Colaco contributed six runs, four runs batted in, four walks, four stolen bases and three doubles on the week. The sophomore went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, two doubles and one stolen base in a win over Adrian on Wednesday. Then during Denison's sweep over Wabash on Sunday, Colaco went 3-for-6 with four runs scored, three stolen bases, one double and one RBI. |

Kenyon freshman Theo Canning got the start in the Owls first conference game of the year, a 12-1 win over Ohio Wesleyan on Sunday. Canning went six innings, allowing just three hits, one walk and one unearned run, while striking out 10.

Wittenberg junior Ian Ash posted a .467 (7-for-15) batting average, as the Tigers went 3-0 on the week. Ash recorded six RBI, four scored runs and three doubles across three games. The junior started the week with a 4-for-5 effort in a win over Heidelberg, adding six RBI, three doubles and two runs. Ash then recorded three hits and two runs as the Tigers swept Wooster for the first time since 1996.

Denison senior Charlie Fleming was dominant in the Big Red's 2-0 shutout win over Kenyon on Saturday. Fleming threw 7.2 innings, as he scattered four hits, did not allow a single batter to reach base on four balls and struck out 12. After a leadoff triple for Kenyon in the top of the second inning, Fleming recorded 11 straight outs.

Michael Galanos, Wabash

Wabash sophomore Michael Galanos posted a .600 batting average (9-for-15), as the Little Giants went 3-1 on the week. Galanos recorded nine runs batted in, five scored runs and one triple across four games. The sophomore collected two RBI while going 3-for-3 with two runs scored in Saturday's first game against Hiram, a 14-4 win. He then drove in three runs, including the game-winner, with a 3-for-5 performance at the plate in the Little Giants' 7-6 win to complete the two-game sweep against the Terriers. In a 12-11 victory at Manchester on Tuesday, Galanos produced three RBI and added a 2-for-3 performance with one RBI in a non-conference game against Anderson Wednesday afternoon. |

Denison sophomore Nick Falter collected his first-career complete game and shutout. Falter pitched all seven innings allowing just two hits and one walk while striking out four in an 11-0 win in game two against Wooster on Saturday.

Wooster first-year first baseman Ryan Kramer posted a .533 batting average (8-for-15) during a 4-1 week for the Fighting Scots that included NCAC sweeps over Ohio Wesleyan and DePauw. Kramer had a team-leading 10 Runs Batted In during the stretch, drew seven walks, scored four times, and had a home run and double. The rookie went 2-for-4 in the doubleheader against the Battling Bishops with four RBI and three scored runs. Then in the twin bill with the Tigers, Kramer went 4-for-8 with five RBI and one scored run.

Kenyon freshman Niko Price helped lead the Owls to a 3-0 week, including a doubleheader sweep of DePauw. The first baseman logged 11 at-bats and recorded 11 total bases with a single, a double, and his first two collegiate home runs. He hit .364 (4-for-11), scored four runs, and tallied six RBI. Additionally, he walked twice and was hit twice, giving him a .533 on-base percentage for the week.

Wooster first-year Devin Anthony improved to 5-0 during Saturday's 8-2 win over Hiram. Anthony, who was making his weekend NCAC debut start, allowed one run on four hits in eight-plus innings. Anthony struck out six and had a two-hit shutout going through eight innings before losing it in the ninth inning.

Wabash senior Liam Patton batted .636 (7-for-11) with six RBI and 15 total bases to help the Little Giants earn a berth in the 2023 NCAC Baseball Tournament. Patton hit two doubles and two home runs for a 1.364 slugging percentage and drew two walks and was hit by two pitches for a .750 on-base percentage on the week. He brought home two runs with a double in the Little Giants' 8-4 win in 11 innings Saturday at Wooster as part of a 3-for-4 effort at the plate. Sunday, the senior hit his sixth home run of the season to provide the game-winning RBI in a 10-4 victory at Ohio Wesleyan that secured the tournament berth for Wabash. He finished the game with two hits and one walk in five plate appearances.

Denison senior Charlie Fleming threw the third no-hitter in the history of Big Red baseball and the first since 2005 during a 14-0 win over Waynesburg on Saturday. Fleming recorded 15-straight outs after walking the first batter of the game and finished with seven 1-2-3 innings, three walks and 10 strikeouts.
