Kyle Brumett joined the storied Wabash College basketball program as head coach in 2014. He is entering his ninth season at Wabash with a record of 126-76. He is 262-155 in 16 seasons as a head coach.

Brumett coached Wabash to one of its best seasons in school history in 2021-22. The Little Giants advanced to the semifinal round of the 2022 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament after earning NCAA Tournament wins over Berry, Emory, Williams, and Illinois Wesleyan. The Little Giants finished 28-4 overall with a 16-1 record in North Coast Athletic Conference games and won the 2022 NCAC for the first time in program history. Brumett was named the conference Men's Basketball Coach of the Year. Senior Jack Davidson was named the 2022 Jostens Trophy Award recipient as the Outstanding NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Player. Davidson was also named a Division III All-American by D3hoops.com and the National Association of Basketball Coaches, NCAC Tournament MVP, and was named to the 2022 NCAA DIII Men's Basketball All-Tournament Team. Both Davidson and fellow senior Tyler Watson were named to the 2022 Academic All-America Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Brumett came to Wabash from Defiance College where he served as the men's basketball coach and assistant athletics director. In six seasons, Brumett guided Defiance to a 103-57 record, a share of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference title in 2014, and won the HCAC championship and earned an NCAA Division III Tournament appearance in 2010.

Prior to Defiance, Coach Brumett spent two seasons at Lakeland College, where his teams posted record of 33-22 and won the 2008 Northern Athletics Conference championship. Brumett spent seven years as an assistant at DePauw University, helping the Tigers to a 121-62 record and Southern Collegiate Athletics Conference titles in 2002, 2003, and 2006 along with NCAA Tournament berths in 2002 and 2006. He coached at the University of Southern Indiana as an assistant for one year. USI finished 26-6 and was ranked number one in the nation for most of the season.

Brumett graduated from Hanover College in 1998 with a degree in physical education. He served as a student-assistant coach for the Panthers, working with former head coach Mike Beitzel. Brumett earned a master's degree in recreation and sports management in 2004 from Indiana State University.
