The 2016 NCAC Men's Tennis Championships concluded on Sunday afternoon at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. The Kenyon men captured their 10th-straight and 19th overall league championship with a 5-1 victory over Denison in the championship match. As league champions, the Lords will receive the league's automatic bid into the 2016 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Tournament.
The Lords (12-9) vaulted past eighth-seeded Wooster, 5-1, in the quarterfinals on Friday and advanced to the championship match with a 5-1 triumph over fourth-seeded Oberlin on Saturday afternoon. Denison mapped its way through the championship bracket with a 5-0 victory over sixth-seeded Allegheny in the quarterfinals and a narrow 5-3 triumph over second-seeded DePauw in the semifinals on Saturday night.
Sunday's men's action also included DePauw taking down Oberlin, 5-0, in the third-place match, while Saturday's consolation matches featured sixth-seeded Allegheny topping fifth-seeded Wabash, 5-4, in the fifth-place match and seventh-seeded Ohio Wesleyan knocking off eighth-seeded Wooster, 5-3, in the seventh-place match.

The 2016 NCAC Men's Tennis Championships will be held at Denison University next weekend, April 29- May 1. The tournament begins with quarterfinal matches on Friday, semifinal and fifth- & seventh-place matches on Saturday and the championship and third-place matches on Sunday. The first two days will begin with men’s matches at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and conclude with women’s matches at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. The men’s championship match and third-place match will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, while the women’s championship match and third-place match will be played at 1:00 p.m.
On the men’s side, Kenyon (4-0, 9-9) was tabbed as the top seed and will open the tournament against eighth-seeded Wooster (0-4, 10-14). Second-seeded DePauw (2-1, 10-9) will open play against No. 7 Ohio Wesleyan (1-3, 8-11). The remaining opening round matches feature No. 3 Denison (2-1, 11-6) versus No. 6 Allegheny (2-2, 7-13) and No. 4 Oberlin (3-1, 14-7) against No. 5 Wabash (2-1, 18-13).
Note: No tournament match will begin until three courts are available for that given match.
