Cumpstone begins his first season as head coach of the Hiram men's basketball program in 2024-25 following his promotion to the role on June 12, 2024. He spent the previous two seasons as an assistant coach with the program following a five-year professional playing career in Europe.
Cumpstone served in a variety of roles as a Terriers assistant coach from 2022-2024, assisting in recruiting, practice planning, opponent scouting reports, game film analysis, individual skill workouts and leading the team's junior varsity roster. Hiram's 2023-24 season was highlighted by a 91-83 win over Hilbert in Dec. 2023, which saw Trent Jakacki score 46 points, the most in a single game by a Hiram student-athlete since 1987. In 2022-23, the Terriers had five conference victories and featured the highest-scoring offense in the NCAC.
Prior to coaching at Hiram, Cumpstone played professionally from 2016-2021 in Germany's Regionalliga 1 League, Luxembourg's N2 League and Malta's BOV League. He was a Third Team All-League selection while playing for the BBC Rendsburg Twisters in 2018-19.
Cumpstone's collegiate career involved four successful seasons at Division II Stonehill College (North Easton, MA), where he was a part of two NCAA Tournament appearances in 2015 and 2016. In his senior season, he averaged a career-high 14.5 PPG on 53% shooting from the field and 45% shooting from beyond the arc. He earned All-Conference Third Team honors for his efforts, paving the way to both a playing and coaching career.
Cumpstone earned his Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Hiram College in 2024, focusing on the connection between athlete identity and grief in sport retirement. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Stonehill in 2016, graduating with honors status.
Cumpstone was born in New Haven, CT and has called Bainbridge Township, OH his home since 2002.

Alex Dellas

Dellas enters her eighth season as head coach of the Hiram College women's basketball program in 2024-25. In her addition to her role as head women's basketball coach, Dellas was promoted to Senior Woman Administrator on Aug. 6, 2021.
In seven seasons with the Terriers, Dellas has coached five All-NCAC honorees, including 2018-19 and 2019-20 First-Team All-NCAC selection Tashauna Wright, and recently a 2022-23 and 2023-24 Third-Team All-NCAC selection in Brooke Hickman. Dellas also coached the Terriers to six NCAC Tournament appearances.
Dating back to the 2019-20 season, the Hiram women's basketball program has tied or increased its win total in each of the last four full seasons under the leadership of Dellas. In 2023-24, the Terriers beat Kenyon on a buzzer-beater to close out the regular season and clinch the No. 6 seed in the conference tourney.
Prior to re-joining the Terriers, Dellas spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
In her time with the Spartans, Dellas oversaw the development of five All-University Athletic Association honorees and helped coach First-Team All-Conference and Third-Team All-Region forward Kara Hageman.
Dellas began her coaching career at Williams College, helping the Ephs to 67 wins over three seasons. During her time on the Williams' staff, Dellas helped coach the team to three NCAA tournament appearances, including a Final Four berth and a third-place finish. Dellas mentored two All-Americans while at Williams, as well as the NESCAC Player of the Year.
A 2010 graduate of Hiram College and a second-generation Terrier, Dellas was a four-year letterwinner for the Terriers women's basketball team, appearing in 101 career games and totaling over 500 points for her career.
Dellas graduated with her bachelor's degree in communications with a minor in management from Hiram College in 2010, and earned her master's degree in sports broadcasting at Kent State University.
