Blake New will enter his 26th season as the head coach of the Oberlin College men's soccer team in 2025, making the Yeomen consistent contenders in the North Coast Athletic Conference.
The longest tenured coach at Oberlin, New has led the Yeomen to at least nine wins in six out of the last 13 seasons including a school record 15-4-1 in 2016 that ended in the NCAC Championship match.
He has been named the NCAC Coach of the Year three times (2005, 2013, 2016) and led the Yeomen to the NCAC Tournament in 2006, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2019
New earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from CSU in 1991 and later earned a master's degree in education with a concentration in sports management while serving as an assistant coach for the Vikings. He was inducted into the Cleveland State Hall of Fame in 2013.
In the spring of 2009 he was inducted into the North Olmsted High School Athletics Hall of Fame. He led his team to a state championship and perfect 25-0 record in 1985.
