Michael Marich enters his 13th season as head coach of the John Carroll University women's soccer program in 2024-25. Over his first 12 seasons, he has compiled a 109-90-34 (.541) overall record and a 57-38-13 (.588) mark in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play.
Marich has guided the Blue Streaks to consistent postseason appearances, including OAC regular-season championships in 2013 and 2023, and the 2023 OAC Tournament title. That 2023 squad made program history, posting its first undefeated conference season (8-0-1), a 21-match unbeaten streak, and advancing to the NCAA Elite 8. Marich was named OAC Coach of the Year and earned United Soccer Coaches Region VII Staff of the Year honors.
During his tenure, Marich's teams have produced 52 All-OAC honorees, 20 All-Region selections, multiple All-Ohio award winners, and numerous Academic All-OAC performers, as well as United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award recognition.
A former JCU assistant coach (2008-11), Marich played at the University of Akron (2000-03), serving as captain in 2002 and 2003 while leading the Zips to three NCAA Tournament appearances. A two-time All-MAC selection, he also played for the Cleveland Internationals (2003-05). He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from Akron in 2003.
