Evelyn Miller

Evelyn Miller was named the head coach of the Wittenberg program following the 2018 season in which she served as the interim head coach at Wittenberg.
Last season, Miller led the Tigers to a 17-10 record, going 5-2 against conference opponents, and advancing to the NCAC Tournament semifinal.
In 2023, Wittenberg went 16-14 overall, with at 5-2 mark in NCAC play, and captured their 27th NCAC Tournament Championship title. The Tigers also claimed their 28th bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament. In the 2022 season, the Tigers produced a 23-5 overall record, a 7-0 mark in NCAC play and caputured the NCAC Championship title. Wittenberg also earned their 27th NCAA Div. III Tournament bid after claiming their 26th NCAC Tournament crown. She and her staff collected the 2022 NCAC Coaching Staff of the Year award.
In 2021, Miller improved her overall record as Head Coach of the Tigers to 67-26 with a 23-1 record in NCAC play. The Tigers collected their Wittenberg earned their 26th NCAA Div. III Tournament bid and claimed their 25th NCAC Tournament crown. Coach Miller added to her list of award winners, with three Tigers going on to claim All-NCAC honors, including Libero of the Year Dakota White. White would later be named the 47th AVCA All-American in Tiger Women's Volleyball History and the third Tiger to earn the accolade under Coach Miller.
The Tigers earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Div. III Tournament for the 25th time in program history where they met Muskingum in the 1st round at the Grand Rapids Regional in 2019. Aubrey Cox closed out her career as a 4x All-NCAC First Team honoree, while Taylor Yontz became the third Tiger to earn Libero of the year honors in back-to-back seasons. Cox and Yontz were joined by Katie Hiestand on the All-NCAC First Team list, with Ashley Brooks making her debut as an All-NCAC Honorable Mention honoree. The Tigers also added to their ever-growing AVCA All-American list as Taylor Yontz and Aubrey Cox earned the nod for the second straight season for the Red and White.
Miller claimed NCAC Coach of the Year in 2018, a year that featured four players given All-American honors. Bringing in second-team recognition was Aubrey Cox and Karen Wildemann, as well as Kennedey Schmidt and Taylor Yontz being awarded honorable mention. Under Miller's tutelage, five members would go on to earn All-NCAC honors, including two first-team honorees (Aubrey Cox, Karen Wildemann). Making the All-NCAC second-team list for Wittenberg was Kennedey Schmidt, and honorable mention recognition was given to Taylor Yontz and Haley Horner. Additionally, Wittenberg's libero, Taylor Yontz, was given NCAC Libero of the Year honors. While consistently maintaining a national ranking within the top-5, the Tigers advanced to the NCAA Regional before falling in a tough fought five-set match to Calvin College.
Miller was a four-year letter winner as a libero at Otterbein University, where she ranks in the top-10 for digs in a career, season and match. Playing for former Tiger All-American and current Otterbein Head Coach Monica McDonald, Miller played a key role in the Cardinals' 2012 Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament championship. Otterbein advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament three times during her collegiate career.
In addition to a season at Alma, Miller's coaching experience includes Junior Olympic assistant coach in the winter of 2010-11 and Junior Olympic head coach in the winter of 2011-12 then again from 2012-15.
Miller earned her bachelor of science in athletic training from Otterbein in 2015. She received the Health and Sport Science Departmental Scholarship in 2014-15 and earned Dean's List honors in the Spring 2013 and Fall 2014 semesters.
