Erin McCrudden

Erin McCrudden has been named the Head Coach for Transylvania Field Hockey.

McCrudden was a member of the Field Hockey program at the University of Louisville, where she was named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll in 2014 and 2015. She was named to the Longstreth National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-West Region Second Team in 2015 and to the All-West Region First Team in 2016. She was named to the Longstreth/NFHCA All-America Second Team, Synapse Sports All-America Second Team and named as an All-ACC Second Team selection in 2016. McCrudden was selected as a 2017 Weaver-James-Carrigan Award recipient in conjunction with the ACC. 

McCrudden joined the U.S. Women's National Team in 2017 being the first from the University of Louisville, recording her first cap against Ireland and competing at the International Festival of Hockey in Melbourne, Australia, scoring the game-winning goal over China. She competed in 13 international caps for the U.S. Women's National Team in 2018. McCrudden competed in the Netherlands for the Dames 1 team at hockey club MOP in Vught while also serving as an assistant for MA U16 girls squad. 

Following her playing career, McCrudden joined the coaching staff at the University of Louisville in 2019 as a Volunteer Assistant. In 2020, she joined the coaching staff at Brown University as an Assistant Coach. She was a part of the Louisville staff that led the Cards team all the way to the Elite 8 of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. She founded the Louisville Magic FHC in 2024. In addition to offering clinics, teams, and opportunities to enhance performance, it is the first program in Kentucky offering introductory programs for ages 3-8, and the first program to offer Adaptive Field Hockey to individuals with all levels of disabilities.

McCrudden, a native of Yorktown Heights, New York, holds a Master's in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Louisville.
