GREENCASTLE, IN - DePauw assistant volleyball coach Sydney Stover has been selected as a recipient of the American Volleyball Coaches Association 30 Under Thirty Award.

Stover came to DePauw in March 2022 and, along with head coach Deb Zellers, earned North Coast Athletic Conference Coaching Staff of the Year honors after the Tigers won the 2023 regular season championship. She has coached the 2023 NCAC Libero of the Year, junior Grace Myers (New Palestine, IN/New Palestine) in addition to six student-athletes who earned all-NCAC honors including three on the first team over the last two seasons. The Tigers have also earned the AVCA Team Academic Award each year she's been at DePauw.

Prior to coming to DePauw, Stover was an assistant coach at Millikin University from 2018-22 after earning three varsity letters and serving as a captain at Defiance College.

The Thirty Under 30 honors program recognizes up-and-coming coaches in these different sectors of the sport who serve in a range of roles, from head coach to volunteer assistant to club director. Each of this year's recipients had to be age 30 or under as of Dec. 31, 2023, to qualify for the award.
