Field Hockey Athlete of the Week – Emma Gebhart, Denison
Denison sophomore
Emma Gebhart (Carlisle, MA/Concord Carlisle) played a role in all five goals in Denison's 5-0 win over Washington & Jefferson on Saturday. In the win, the sophomore registered her first collegiate hat trick and added two assists to help the Big Red earn a share of the NCAC crown. After a scoreless first quarter, Gebhart scored twice in the second 15 minutes to give Denison a 2-0 lead before the half. She added another goal in the third quarter to secure the hat trick. Gebhart totaled eight points in the win, setting a new career high. The conference championship is the Big Red's league-leading 13th title and their first since 2019, when they shared with Kenyon and Ohio Wesleyan.
Football Offensive Athlete of the Week – Jarvis Mims Jr., Wooster
Wooster junior
Jarvis Mims Jr. (Baxley, GA/Appling County) had a career day with 202 yards on 33 carries and two touchdowns in Saturday's 30-20 win at Hiram. The junior started the Fighting Scots scoring with a seven-yard run in the first quarter. After Hiram came within three in the final 15 minutes, Mims Jr., secured the win, extending Wooster's lead to 10, after running in a touchdown with just 1:55 left to play. Mims Jr., who had Wooster's first 200-yard rushing game in a decade, averaged 6.1 yards per carry and did not have a carry go for negative yards. The 200-yard rushing game was the 28th in program history.
Football Defensive Athlete of the Week – Mike Holsclaw, Wabash
Wabash junior
Mike Holsclaw (Lafayette, IN/Jefferson) made a season-high seven solo tackles and secured an interception on Denison's final drive of the game to help Wabash earn a 24-23 victory over the Big Red on Saturday. Holsclaw's interception improved the Little Giants' mark of at least one interception in its last nine games, dating back to last season. Holsclaw's pick was his third of the season, the most among Wabash players.
Men's Golf Athlete of the Week – Andrew Gallagher, Denison
Denison senior
Andrew Gallagher (Grimesland, NC/D.H. Conley) led the Big Red by tying for 25th out of 107 at the O'Briant Jensen Memorial Tournament at The Cardinal by Pete Dye in North Carolina. Gallagher finished the two-day par 61, 6778-yard course with a 10-over after carding an opening-round 77 and a 75 second round. Denison finished 12th out of 21 teams after logging a team total of 627 over 36 holes.
Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week – Brady West, Ohio Wesleyan

Brady West (Dublin, OH/Columbus St. Charles) guided the Battling Bishops to a 1-0-1 week with a 3-2 win over DePauw and a 0-0 draw versus Denison. Against the Tigers, West, along with junior
Gabe O'Reilly (Westerville, OH/Columbus St. Charles), assisted on junior
Christopher Guerra's
(Columbus, OH/Worthington Kilbourne) game-winning goal that gave the Battling Bishops a 3-1 lead in the eventual 3-2 victory. Against the No. 10-ranked Big Red, the senior blocked a shot in the 89th minute to preserve the scoreless draw. The win and tie gave Ohio Wesleyan a share of the NCAC Championship and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. The conference championship is the Bishops' league-leading 24th crown and their first since 2014.
Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week – Isabella Guzman, Denison
Denison junior
Isabella Guzman (Lake Forest, ILL/Loyola Academy) and her efforts propelled the Big Red to a 3-0 victory over Ohio Wesleyan, securing them the NCAC conference title. The junior started Denison's scoring with an assist to senior
Eliza Roach (Buffalo, NY/Westminster School) during the 36th minute of play. Guzman would strike again with a goal of her own in the 68th minute, extending the Big Red's lead to two in the eventual 3-0 win. The conference championship extends Denison's league lead to 12 and is their first since 2021.
Men's Swim & Dive Athlete of the Week – Isaac Shaker, Wooster
Wooster senior
Isaac Shaker (Solon, OH/Solon) was a triple-winner in the Fighting Scots' 180-33 win over NCAA Division II Malone on Saturday. The senior capped the meet as the anchor on Wooster's winning 400 freestyle relay, which touched at 3:24.14. Individually, Shaker finished first in the 400 individual medley and 200-yard butterfly, finishing in 4:21.59 and 2:00.03, respectively.
Women's Swim & Dive Athlete of the Week – Caroline Stowe, DePauw
DePauw junior
Caroline Stowe (Matthews, NC/Butler) tallied nine first- and one second-place finishes in a quad meet versus John Carroll, Lynchburg, and Centre. Against the Blue Streaks, the junior set pool records in the 50 (24.66) and 100 freestyles (53.86), placing first in both events. In the dual versus the Hornets, Stowe was a part of the Tigers' victorious 400 medley (4:05.39) and 400 free (3:41.92) relays. In DePauw's final dual of the weekend against the host Colonels, Stowe earned her final three wins in the 100 free (54.13), 200 free relay (1:39.46), and 400 mixed free relay (3:23.97), and a second place finish in the 50 free (24.78).
Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week – Lily Bechina, Ohio Wesleyan
Ohio Wesleyan junior
Lily Bechina (Chicago, iL/Jones College Prep) propelled the Battling Bishops to a 2-0 week with wins over Hiram (3-0) and DePauw (3-2). Against the Terriers, the setter dished out 41 assists, a season best for a three-set match, and led the Bishops with 14 digs. In the win, the senior directed the Ohio Wesleyan offense to a .350 attack percentage on 53 kills with only 10 errors in 123 attempts. In a come-from-behind win over the Tigers, Bechina recorded 18 digs and 46 assists to guide five OWU players to double digit kills. On the week, she collected 87 assists (10.88/set), 32 digs (4.00/set), and three block assists. With the wins, Ohio Wesleyan finished conference play with a 5-2 record to earn the No. 2 seed in the NCAC Tournament after tiebreakers.
NCAC Milestones & Records (Oct. 28 – Nov. 3)
DePauw, Football – Senior
Nathan McCahill (Indianapolis, IN/Cathedral) tied the NCAC single-game record and broke the DePauw single-game record with seven touchdown passes in DePauw's win over Kenyon on Saturday. The quarterback also broke the Tigers' single-season touchdown pass record after improving to 36 … Sophomore
Matthew Berry (Jacksonville, FL/Bolles School) broke the Tiger's single-season extra-points record as he has now connected on 49-of-50 attempts … Senior
Gabe Quigley (Carmel, IN/Carmel) tied DePauw's single-game record with four touchdown catches … The DePauw offense totaled 537 passing yards against Kenyon, breaking the conference and program single-game records. The defense held the Owls to -51 rushing yards and a -4 total yards, both of which are program records.
DePauw, Men's Swimming and Diving – Senior
James Shorney (River Forest, IL/Oak Park & River Forest) set a pool record in the 50 freestyle at the Centre quad. Against the Colonels, the senior broke the record after touching the wall in 21.42 seconds to finish first.
DePauw, Volleyball – Senior
Olivia Karwin (Menifee, CA/Paloma Valley) recorded her fourth triple-double of the year against Oberlin with 11 kills, 16 assists, and 10 digs. Karwin is tied for third in NCAA standings in triple-doubles this year.
Kenyon, Field Hockey – Sophomore
Casey Master (Watertown, MA/Watertown) recorded her first career multi goal game after finding the back of the net twice in Kenyon's 4-1 win over Earlham on Saturday.
Oberlin, Women's Soccer – Senior
Heather Benway (San Carlos, CA/Sequoia) moved up Oberlin's program rankings; she is third in career goals (34) and is tied for second in career points (86), after scoring both of the Yeowomen's goals in a 2-0 win over Kenyon on Saturday.
Ohio Wesleyan, Field Hockey - Wednesday's win over Wittenberg marked the 100th career win for Bishop head coach
Brenda Semit. Semit is only the second Ohio Wesleyan field hockey coach to reach the 100-win mark, joining the legendary
Harriet Stewart.
Wabash, Football – Sophomore
Brand Campbell (Palm Beach Gardens, IL/Palm Beach Gardens) threw for a career-best 345 yards, with 80 coming on the game-winning pass midway through the fourth quarter to give Wabash a 24-23 win over Denison on Saturday.
Wooster, Cross Country – Senior
Drew Robertson (Bébalem, Chad/Rift Valley Academy (Kenya)) became the program's third two-time, second-place finisher at the NCAC Championships on Sunday, while classmate
Will Callender (Seattle, WA/Roosevelt) became the program's first four-time All-NCAC performer on the men's side.
Wooster, Women's Swim & Dive – The Fighting Scots' 33-dual meet winning streak was snapped Saturday as Wooster fell 121-106 to NCAA Division II power Hillsdale. Wooster's winning streak dated back to the 2019-20 season.
