Three Named to D3baseball.com Preseason All-America Teams

CLEVELAND, OH – Three student-athletes from the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) were named to the D3baseball.com Preseason All-America Team, announced Tuesday, January 14. The honorees include Denison senior outfielder Eric Colaco (Richfield, OH/Revere) and junior pitcher Will Rettig (Perrysburg, OH/Perrysburg), as well as Wooster junior designated hitter Ryan Kramer (Chicago, IL/Latin School of Chicago).

Last season, Colaco, a first-team selection, led Division III in hits, runs, and doubles while setting program single-season records with 89 hits, 79 runs, 28 doubles, and 212 at-bats. His 28 doubles tied for the fourth-most in Division III history, and his runs ranked 13th. A two-time NCAC Player of the Year, Colaco was the 2024 NCAC Tournament MVP, D3baseball.com Player of the Year, and a First-Team All-American for both D3baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings.

Kramer, a second-team honoree, earned All-America honors after leading the NCAC in batting average (.437), slugging percentage (.802), and RBI per game (1.71) in 2024. Last season, he hit 10 home runs, 12 doubles, and two triples, driving in 53 runs and scoring 37. Kramer was named a Second-Team All-American by D3baseball.com in 2024 and earned Academic All-America and First-Team All-Region honors. His sophomore campaign included a 15-game hitting streak and a key walk-off grand slam against Spalding.

Rettig, who earned third-team honors following a strong 2024 campaign, posted a 9-1 record with a 3.23 ERA across 75.1 innings pitched, striking out 66 batters and holding opponents to a .225 batting average. Rettig tied for the NCAC lead in wins and had a standout performance in the NCAA Regionals, throwing seven shutout innings in Denison’s victory over Hanover.
