Colaprete Resigns from Wooster to Accept Position at Alma Mater

WOOSTER, OH -- Frank Colaprete, The College of Wooster's head football coach since 2013, has resigned and accepted the athletic director and head football coach position at his high school alma mater, Cardinal Mooney High School.

During his tenure, Colaprete revitalized the program by implementing new systems on both offense and defense, strategically repositioning players to maximize their strengths—a reflection of his straightforward coaching philosophy that "the best 11 players get on the field." He also introduced innovative recruiting strategies, accumulating 53 wins in the process.

Wooster will launch a search for a new head coach immediately. Zach Dennis will serve as interim head coach while Wooster's coaching staff will continue with their recruiting duties. Assistant coach Brian Kooser (recruiting coordinator/offensive line) is the program's point for recruiting inquiries.
