Phillips and Johnson Selected for CSC Inclusion Fellowship

GREENWOOD, IN - College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced that Amanda Phillips, Director of Athletics Communications and Game Day Operations at Oberlin College, and Dani Johnson, Director of Athletic Communications for the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC), have been selected to participate in the 2025-26 CSC Inclusion Fellowship.

This year-long educational series aims to foster a deeper understanding of how individuals in athletic communications offices at all levels become effective advocates for inclusion in college athletics, as well as how to better support student-athletes, coaches and fellow administrators at the campus, conference, and national levels.

“This Fellowship is one of the most impactful initiatives we have for our CSC members,” said Scottie Rodgers, CSC Inclusion Fellowship co-founder, CSC Inclusion Committee chair, and vice president of communications for the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic. “Building culture and fostering community remain at the core of who we are as CSC, and we will focus on this through the conversations, learning, and sharing our Fellows will experience this year.”

Now in its fifth year, the theme for the 2025-26 program is Advocacy Through Adversity,” highlighting the importance of leadership, collaboration, and resilience. This year’s cohort will take part in workshops, discussions, and projects designed to help them grow as professionals and better serve their campus communities. The fellowship began in September and will conclude at CSC Unite 2026 in Las Vegas, where fellows will be recognized for their work and assist with programming at the convention.

Since its launch, more than 60 professionals have completed the CSC Inclusion Fellowship, which has become a leading educational opportunity in the field.

“We are proud to welcome the 2025-26 class of the CSC Inclusion Fellowship,” added Jason Yaman, CSC Executive Director. “This exceptional group of dynamic professionals represents the best of our industry - bringing diverse voices, fresh perspectives, and a shared commitment to advancing inclusion in sports communications. The work done annually by this group only strengthens the future of our profession.”
